Trick question- we don’t know if the 100 machines are as fast as the 5 or not- they could be a lot slower or faster-

The correct way to ask would be “If ALL widget machines ever made take 1 minute to produce one widget...”

I disagree. If it takes 48 days to cover the lake, and the lilly pads double every day, then 1/2 of the lake is covered on day 47, 1/4 on day 46, 1/8 on day 45, etc.

How do you get 1 day as an answer to the question "how long would it take for the patch to cover half the lake?"
