Those guys are THE WORST!

Anytime Hannity starts playing that crap likes it’s something good to listen to, I just shut him off.

The performers on stage probably had a pretty good view of the initial carnage, when every shot was finding a mark. If you saw someone take a bullet to the head right in front of you what would you do? For that matter, Jason Aldean may have been the initial target, for effect, but the distance allowed the rounds to fall a bit and strike the fans instead.

Billy Ray Cyrus Was booked to play the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival in 1992 in Niceville, Florida just before Achy Breaky hit. He actually told the organizers that he wouldn’t play the gig because they wouldn’t raise his payment. He was eventually shamed into playing, but that incident remained a marker that “country” wasn’t country anymore. Nothing has happened since to change my mind. They’re all a bunch of managed Hollywood hacks.

i listen to his radio show in my car and after the intro there is music that sounds just likr the intro to Katy Perry’s song Fireworks, yet i recall a Hannity episode where he picked apart a song by Katy Perry called California Girls because of its sexual content and the drug references

Garth Brooks is the absolute worst, it’s like watching a clown show with him exploiting every southern stereotype possible from that fake ass accent of his, to the fake rebel yells and the stupid pilot microphone not mention the guy is a leftist d-bag. If it wasn’t for that song “Friends in low places” which had absolutely NOTHING to do with, that asshole would be playing dives in some lame ass copy band.

saying he was shaken up from the shooting and might never perform live again.

I don't blame him. He has a lot to deal with. Over 500 people were shot with 58 killed, bullets hitting the stage when he ran himself. The guy is "shell shocked"!

He opened the show in place of the usual, ridicule Trump skit. and sang a Tom Petty song. It was tribute to Vegas and Petty. I thought it was moving.

What passes for “Country” today needs more Alan Jackson’s Where Were You”, Charlie Daniels’ Band’s “This Ain’t No Rag, It’s a Flag.” Lee Greenwood “God Bless the USA” and less of this Tractor Rap Poser music that they pass off today to the Tatted up millennial masses of Low-T/Emo listeners.

So SNL put him on just because of the shooting?

Here's a couple angles of him running off the stage at the first rat-tat-tat of the gunfire, without a single peep of warning to the crowd:   "Two angles of Jason Aldean running offstage during Las Vegas shooting".

I wouldn’t be surprised.. because he had previously scheduled shows in California before cancelling

Achy Breaky Heart just accelerated the decline. The beginning of the end of country music was “Urban Cowboy.”

Careful what you believe from free_life...
unless he can back up a similar charge he made against Dana White.

I was in the Army with a guy who was convinced Garth Brooks sold his soul to the devil. He concluded it was the logical explanation for how a guy with so little talent could achieve so much success.

“He opened the show in place of the usual, ridicule Trump skit. and sang a Tom Petty song. It was tribute to Vegas and Petty. I thought it was moving.”

So did I until I realized the song sung on SNL by the guy who fled the stage at Vegas was “I won’t back down.” Gates of hell, and all that.

It seems a rather ironic choice of song given that he fled the stage. While that may have been entirely rational or even the only choice given the circumstance, “I Won’t Back Down” and running away do seem more like polar opposites.

I see him as a Toby Keith wannabe. Not even close.
