I was in the Army with a guy who was convinced Garth Brooks sold his soul to the devil. He concluded it was the logical explanation for how a guy with so little talent could achieve so much success.
LOL! I believe it. The guy was #1 forever, sold more records than the Beatles or something like that, and I remember thinking “Waaaait a minute here, something here don’t jibe right” It’s like a freakin’ rodeo clown selling all those records.
