NFL players responded to President Trump's criticisms of players protesting police brutality by taking a knee during the national anthem by kneeling en masse Sunday morning.
The opening of the NFL Sunday slate of games took place Sunday morning in London, and many players from both the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars took a knee during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

And in 3-5 years they won’t have that money to pay for their “ride” or their “crib.”
Or the home health aide they need to cope with brain injuries
Idk, but the larger issue is are you going to fire a player for a political protest? Apparently not because as the hours go on this morning the NFL teams are gearing up the protest with their whole team. (Pittsburgh)
Trump is a freaking genius sometimes!
A lot of folks in Jacksonville this morning are pretty much telling the Jags to stay in London for good, and don’t come back to Jacksonville.
Go to your job tomorrow and start telling all the customers how bad the company product is, and how the boss sucks.
When you are fired, tell me about your first amendment rights.
Exactly my point. Do you think it’s right to get fired for a FB post or saying or doing something an employer may disagree with politically? How about not baking a wedding cake for a couples sexual orientation you disagree with?

First of all, the wedding cake thing has nothing to do with free speech. You are mixing up different constitutional rights.
I will say it again, free speech is not free from consequences. It never has been, and never will be.
The same rules we all have to live by also applies to a bunch of overpaid, flag disrespecting, spoiled brats.
The average NFL career for a player is four years. So if he’s drafted right out of college, that’s 26+/-. Then, what does he do for the rest of his life?
Most players are basically illiterate, given degrees to keep them playing. OTH by 30. Enjoy the big bucks you’re making now, guys, because it’s gonna have to last you a lifetime. And all those fancy cars you bought will be old, along with you. You don’t get much on bling resale. But go ahead and be as stupid as you wish. It’ll all be over in a flash.

I’m pretty sure you are posting to the wrong person, since I just made pretty much the same point.
This is different than that because it's not about employer/employee. It's seen as political protest in today's world by at least half America. If you tell them or fire them for politically protesting then that means you agree with white supremacy, cops shooting blacks and Trump.
Trump has masterfully forced their hand, brilliantly.
Steelers just announced they will stay in the locker room during the playing of the National Anthem. Good!
Goodell might be hoping this issue will result in better ratings. But I dont think that will be the case.
But don't you get by now it doesn't work that way anymore? You have to throw common sense out the window, the ME generation has arrived. So, no the same rules you and I grew up with (assuming you are older than 30) are not the same rules today. Trump is certainly not stupid he knows exactly what controversy his comments would cause and now the NFL is going to have to deal with this situation.
The Wedding cake thing is exactly about Free Speech more so than the NFL thing. That is gov't dictating speech! You've got it backwards...
It will if this gets straightened out. Trump has effectively forced the NFL's hand on this to do something.
Thanks for posting this list.
P&G is pro BLM and many other left wing organizations.
We have been leaving many of their products due to their increasing costs and seemingly less effective like their razor blades. I now use Dollar Shave Company. We use 7th generation laundry detergent, hand soaps and dishwashing products.
Bounce is the only P&G product we use and will stop when our current box runs out.
No problem eliminating any other product.
During the radio broadcast of today’s London Ravens game, they played a promo for honoring our military at the games. They asked for nominations for people deserving of this recognition. What a phony bunch of owners.
Blue collar workers may be fans, but they are not the people in most stadiums. Tickets are far too expensive these days. This is why TV audiences may be more effected.
True. And the sad fact is that most of those empty seats you saw in San Francisco, were still paid for, by corporations, it's just that they didn't bother to show up, but the team and the NFL still got their money.
True. I dumped all football last year. Now I have more time to do other things.
