NFL players responded to President Trump's criticisms of players protesting police brutality by taking a knee during the national anthem by kneeling en masse Sunday morning.

The opening of the NFL Sunday slate of games took place Sunday morning in London, and many players from both the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars took a knee during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

“This is one battle Trump should not have chosen.”

Yea, we hear that EVERY TIME that Trump does battle with the left.

...and if he listened to advice like that, who would Trump morph into? Trump >>>> George W. Bush

Think about a few weeks from now though when it becomes clear which teams are losers this season. I think in those markets, teams might find themselves looking at only 25 - 30 percent of capacity for their stadiums. Especially, when two losers play each other.

“Watch the absolute positive bounce the NFL gets from all the people who hate Trump just to see the players kneel.”

LOL, good one!

I’d rather we were talking about Obama illegal wiretaps, but the country is obsessed with football players.

Right or Wrong on the issue, how many people in the US do you think agree with Trump, players ought to be FIRED for exercising their free speech rights by kneeling?

****************************************************

Here is a news flash, and a little history lesson.
Free speech means you are free to speak without government retribution.
It does not mean you can say and do anything you want at your job and you are free from consequences. People get fired all the time for opening their big mouths.

Do we have a list of sponsors? Keep in mind that some NFL players go into business (steakhouses and such) when they retire...they can go on a boycott list, as well.

“I’d rather we were talking about Obama illegal wiretaps, but the country is obsessed with football players.”

Me too...but we don’t have any control of that agenda, since the Left owns the media and if they don’t think spying on political opponents is bad (when done to Republicans), then it won’t be an issue...and there is not a damn thing we can do about it until rich people on our side start buying up these outlets.

But this issue is MUCH BIGGER than football players - it is whether people who have reached the pinnacle of success by virtually every standard, because of this country, still hate this country (or, or more likely, now hate this country).

If that is the case, then WE NEED TO KNOW THAT because that means we’re being played by people who hate our guts. Most of us don’t like that, and FINALLY we now have the chance to show them just that.

What exactly were and are the kneeling millionaire players protesting against?

What does it matter what a POTUS says to excuse the kneeling during the playing of thr national anthem?

People get fired all the time for opening their big mouths.

Exactly my point. Do you think it's right to get fired for a FB post or saying or doing something an employer may disagree with politically? How about not baking a wedding cake for a couples sexual orientation you disagree with?

This will only escalate now that some proverbial gasoline has been poured on to the fire of controversy, thereby resulting in more media coverage.

If the cameras and the media would simply ignore these clowns, the 'taking a knee protests' would stop instantly. But, since it pushes the proper leftist narrative, the media will continue to focus on it.

They can all KMA (NFL and the media.

“There are people of their race in Chicago an other big cities with no family structure, very little education and they are killing each other daily. I’ll bet these protesters never give those people a thought.”

And I wonder how much of their hard earned NFL salaries are going towards making their fellow blacks’ lives socially just.

The Asshats from Baltimore kneed the Star Spangled banner but stood for God Save the Queen?

Perhaps we should fly the Union Jack over Ft McHenry

I fear now this will spread to College Football, there are some college players who have already done it, but it will start happening more there too.

In fact, I’m sure there are a lot of university professors who will start encouraging it.

Fox “MediaBuzz” has on three liberals to slam Trump and of course agree with the BLM mascarading as NFL players. Fox is the new CNN. I’m through with watching football. I’d love to see the NFL fold. As a matter of fact I’m through with professional sports. A bunch of filthy rich gangbangers who can barely put a complete sentence together, worshipped like they’re God because they can run fast and catch a ball. So now the Patriots have turned into the East Coast version of the Seattle Gangbangers, and their owner has no control over the disrespectful actions of the million dollar thugs that play for him. Go to Dallas and disrespect the flag by sitting on your ass and see how quick Jerry Jones kicks you off the team.

So you stand there while they fort in your face
Play ball

They only care about what they do to collect a paycheck, too

Given how much of their million dollar salaries they spend to help the “oppressed”

>>how many people in the US do you think agree with Trump, players ought to be FIRED for exercising their free speech rights by kneeling?<< Is there not a clause in their CONTRACTS which says they can be fired for bringing discredit to their team or to the NFL?
