” That depends. Are you carrying enough money to make it worth the mugging? :)”
That depends. How poor and desperate are you? :)
I had a Python once and the only problem I had with it was its close tolerances. Carrying that pistol was like wearing a Rolex watch with the back off of it; the least bit of dirt or debris that got into it locked it up and it wouldn’t fire again until it was thoroughly cleaned.
To put this into perspective, I brought this Python back with me (illegally) when I returned to Vietnam from leave in the U.S. in 1966. I found out the hard way it’s not a combat pistol, and sold it to a Lieutenant.
Yes
... to make it worth the mugging? :)
No.

You should see if Fobus has a holster for your model. They have a number of Taurus revolver holsters on their site.
The Fobus grips the frame of the gun and trigger guard. I’ve become a very big fan of Fobus holsters and have one for every semi-auto I own. They hold the weapon quite tight but still allow for a quick draw. My first choice for OWB.
Ruger LCR 38 Special 5 shot with crimson trace.
I do not have a weapon, in my closet on the third shelf to the right, under my rubber exercise suit.
You too? At night, in a storm, in the deepest part of the lake.
I got hosed by the auto spell function again.
depending on where I’m going DC Ruger Alaskan 44 Mag or Smith 629 3” or a glock 29 10mm. Backup Charter 44 special or a little mouse, up their nose gun or a Bond 45/410. Just all depends. Fun to practice with all of them. Variety is the spice of life ....... until you wife finds out then its hell.
No kiddin’. I sure as shit wouldn’t want to get shot by one.
Nothing like an all steel mil-spec handgun. I have a shoulder rig and Fobus OWB paddle holster for mine.
That’s what my wife carries. I put a Bulls Eye spring kit in it, makes for a nice single and double action pull.
I carry a Charter Arms Buldog in 44 Special. Very reasonably priced, very accurate and well built.
I carry a 5 shot Charter Arms Bulldog revolver chambered in 44 Special. It is light weight, manageable recoil, reasonably priced, very accurate and well built. I carry it in a thumb break DeSantis holster. It is easily concealed. Of course when I am on duty, I carry my standard issue Glock.

I might regularly carry a Smith & Wesson model 642 airweight in my front pocket, or maybe not. It might seem to some people that a revolver of this type just draws better from a front pocket. YMMV.
We have a friend who is a gunsmith - completely gone over and the action on it is the best of any revolver we have or I have ever used. My wife even passed CCW class with it.
Bonus is you don’t leave spent brass all over the place.
A revolver?.......whuddyuh think this is......The Wild, Wild West?
I live in the People's Republic of Maryland. My life is worth something to them because I pay a lot in taxes, but the votes of violent criminals are worth more. They don't want me shooting their most reliable voters. I carry a knife because that is all they will permit, not to mention that I'm a charter member of the FR Boating Club, so all my guns are . . .
