This goes for NASCAR, as well. They’ve monkeyed with the program too much. The old way, “line ‘em up and drop the green flag” was good enough to make NASCAR the biggest draw in sports. The NFL has to get control of their stage. It belongs to the league and not to the talent. The word needs to go out that sideline personnel must stand for the national anthem. If you don’t want to stand, you must stay in the tunnels until the anthem is over. That is all. Any on-field disrespect during the anthem will be fined $10,000.

Sure they know how to stop it. Make it a condition of employment by the NFL or it’s teams during contract signing.
If you do anything while in the team uniform that can be viewed as being disrespectful to the nation, you will sit out the game and not be paid.
Three such incidents in one season and you will be suspended by the league for 6 games and not eligible to play in the play off.
The fourth incident or during playoffs and you will be suspended by the league for the next season.

The owners and coaches just don’t have the BRASS to stand up for America. It’s Americans who’ve allowed the owners and coaches, by buying tickets, clothing and other play things, to pay these overgrown football playing children millions of dollars. American viewers in the stands and tv should stop watching and buying football goodies. How long with these super arrogant, ungrateful ninnies last?
