Keep the team in the locker room for the national anthem. Many colleges do this. Makes the most sense and the problem of idiots not standing goes away.
Exactly right. The NFL's only hope is to fire Goodell, who can no longer get away with fixing the problem, and have the new Commissioner start fining/suspending those who engage in conduct that distracts from the game. They won't do it, and professional football will die. I'm okay with that outcome.
If Colin K. had been rude and disrespectful to our flag, our anthem, and our country in his personal life, many of us would have boycotted his team only. Doing it during the televised game made that anti-American behavior an NFL issue rather than a personal issue, and the NFL chose poorly.
Contrast: What would Goodell do if a player wore a MAGA hat on the sidelines, and covered his heart with it during the anthem? Probably fine him bigly. Well, what’s the difference?

Every other country has an anthem, and it IS played at sporting events.
At Toronto Blue Jays games they play both O Canada, and the US anthem.
I would stand for both, as a sign of respect, even though I am not Canadian.
I was glad to see Russell Wilson learning that lesson.
He has a superb arm and great accuracy.
His biggest problem is that his O-line is possibly the worst in football and he HAS to run.
The pocket collapses in seconds. He ended up with an injury that I believe cost the Seahawks at least a few wins last year.
I worked for the Cincinnati Reds as a security guy.
It was both team and Riverfront policy that we stand and put our hands over our hearts during the anthem.
Same policy for the vendors. Stop any transaction, take off your hat and place it over your heart.
Not doing that was an *automatic* termination.

Separate Leagues.
The majority of the people at the rally don’t know the difference between a first down and a touchdown.
If the NFL had a clue (and they don’t) they would look at last election and understand that the silent majority “woin’t keepin quiet.....anymore”....

You set standards, if the standards are not met, you fine them. If its college, you bench them.
The Browns are a national joke, benching the whole damned Team wouldn’t affect anything. Forfeiting games and offering a Netflix subscription would be more interesting for their fans. Of all the teams to try this crap, the Browns are the most financially vulnerable.
He is unsigned because no team needs locker room-sideline pre and post game drama.
