During the past couple of years we have witnessed an important part of our history being erased, as one Confederate statue after another is removed from the public eye, in order not to "offend" anyone.
Ridiculous, I know.. Personally, I find these efforts at denying history to be stupid and insulting, but it got me thinking..
What about Stone Mountain in Georgia? This awesome mountainside sculpture depicts three Confederate figures during the Civil War: Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis.
Has anyone here heard anything from the crazy left about destroying this? Surely they believe it's a racist symbol that offends their sensibilities.

The latest plan I’ve heard is to carve MLK Jr above them on the side of the mountain.

Why hasn’t ANYONE pointed out that these are statues of U. S. VETERANS being attacked by the communist left?

Isn’t it a private concern now? Been there once. I seem to remember it was once a State park but could transferred to the private sector, possibly to avoid just this type of thing.
Fortunately, private companies and publicly traded companies have strong intestinal fortitude and NEVER buckle under activist pressure. Not once.

Overall, the real reason for all of this push to remove Confederate monuments, flags, etc is a push by the democrat party to eliminate their direct ties to slavery, the Civil War, and the KKK.
It is their party that has always been the direct supporter and tied to slavery and suppression of minorities. They now want those ties removed from sight and from history.
Well, following that logic, we need to remove the democrat party as a direct reminder of slavery and oppression. Outlaw the party, remove all monuments, streets, highways, etc bearing a prominent democrat’s name. No more Kennedy freeway, street or drive. No more FDR or Wilson memorial. Remove all democrat references and the party and then we can truly get past the democrat party sins of slavery.
They ARE NOT US Veterans.

and why not remove the all confederate related monuments at the national parks and battlefields? Lots of that brick a brack at Gettysburg and Antietam. Why celebrate the traitors?
But hey while we’re at it, the plantation homes of the founders of the democrat party, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, are also memorialized by the national park service. Monticello and the Hermitage should be torn down. The Jefferson Memorial in DC needs to go, too.
FDR locked up American citizens of Japanese heritage. Hyde Park needs to go, along with that overbuilt shrine to him at the Washington Mall.
Trump needs to make the Wall a Memorial to the Emancipation of the Slaves..
