100 years ago men lived less than 50 years on average. I don't know why people want to romanticize eras of no antibiotics, high infant mortality and a rarity of living to old age.

Our infant mortality rates aren’t that good now, and we have probably the sickest children in the developed world. I bet we lead the world in JD, peanut allergies, asthma, autism, delayed speech etc

Folks died of other things 100 years ago. Not cancer. Clean organic foods grown the way God intended are not responsible for cancer.

By the way, some of these third world cultures experience great longevity, but they are quiet about it. I have a employee from Africa whose grandmother lived to 120. Other relatives: high 90’s and 100’s.
