Introduction :
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing about Snow Leopards and their Conservation.
Bound to Craggy Cliffs, Snow Leopards have always been present at "Low Densities" but what is shocking is their "Mass Slaughter" by Poachers in recent years in India, China, and Mongolia.
The Daily Mail -- A British Tabloid reported in March 2017 that Poachers in India kill 45 Snow Leopards a Year.
That is "Terrible". It is bad enough that there are only 500-600 Snow Leopards at the most in the Wild in India specially in the States of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir to mention a few.
These Wild Cats continue to be killed for their "Magnificent Coats" worth a fortune in the Black Market and for their Bones which are promoted as "Tonics" in South - East Asia.

Greetings from Mumbai, India.
Snow Leopards are flagship species of the Himalayan Ecosystem.
They are being poached like crazy for their Luxurious Skins and Bones.
India has only 500-600 Snow Leopards in the Wild.
At the rate at which they are being poached they will go extinct very soon unless something is done by the Government very soon.
Farm them, and kill the prices.
Every other solution is pretty much guaranteed to fail given the sheer cost and insanity of trying to ward off poachers in that terrain and with a local populace that poor.
What about “Snow Monkeys”?
Howz-by the taxpayers of India, China, and Mongolia pony up some funds.
Snow leopards in the Himalaya’s don’t make a hill-of-beans to the West. If it impacts the “eco-system” of the Himalaya’s, let the Himalayans solve it.
Are Snow Monkeys endangered? Usually, animals that are very kawaii are the first to get protection.
99% of all species that have ever lived are extinct
...Right at the same time that organisations such as Big Cat Rescue are pushing to ban the keeping and/or breeding of these animals in captivity. Because: “If they can’t be saved in the wild, and ONLY in the wild, better to let them slip into Dignified Extinction, than be subject to captive slavery.”
Dovetails right into the Twenty Year Extinction Plan®
Before they are all gone, I’d like to go over and get one. Would make a great addition to our den floor.
I'm thinking...auto upholstery...
