The Washington Post is reporting that the CIA informed Obama in August 2016 that Putin was directly involved in a cyberop to tilt the U.S. presidential election.

We understand this is fake news and laugh at it. But the country’s newspapers pick it up as fact and put it on the front pages where regular citizens read it and believe it. It becomes like climate change, if you say it’s not real, people think you’re an ignoramus.

These papers have set a major trap for themselves. They have promulgated BS for so long, there is no telling when they’ll be able to reclaim any sort of mantle of credibility. In fact, as their business declines, they’ll be able to spend less and less on quality reporting. In the case of WaPo & Bezos, it probably amounts to pocket lint. Why anyone would continue to buy these papers is beyond me.
