Eating chocolate has been linked with a reduced risk of heart disease and stroke, and now a new study from Denmark suggests that regular consumption of the treat may help to prevent the development of atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat.
Researchers found that adults in the study who ate chocolate at least once a month or more frequently than that had rates of atrial fibrillation that were 10 to 20 percent lower than those who ate chocolate less than once a month, according to the findings published today (May 23) in the journal Heart

Dark is really the only kind eaten. Milk chocolate is far too sweet and doesn’t digest well for me. I contribute this to the fact that I’m lactose intolerant. :-) Sad state! Unable to eat ice cream either, unless it is eaten with food - IE corn chips, not too sweet cookie or cake. Chocolate ice cream and FRITOS are an epicurean’s fondest dream.

I’m repeatedly-flummoxed at the collective ignorance of Americans and others in developed countries.
Chocolate itself was never bad.
It’s all the other crap that they add to it which makes chocolate bad.
That goes for most anything these days...

Just had some....and dark chocolate is not sweet. I also drink plenty of red wine, just in case, for health reasons only.
