In the unearthed interview, Hamill said George Lucas explained to him his layout for the prequels and also told Hamill to be ready, because he had plans for Skywalker many years down the road.

Wow. And to think: Mark Hamill disappeared for 30 years just to stay in character.

Some of us just thought he couldn't act. Boy, did we get it wrong ....

Lucas sold the Star Wars franchise to Disney. He is no longer the one creating the storyline.

George Lucas was known to issue a different version of the script to the different cast members, so that no one could leak the real plot. Even if Hamill did spill the beans, chances are what he said wasn’t the real plot.

Mark Hamill had a HUGE future.

...then he did "Corvette Summer."

Harrison Ford chose..."Indiana Jones". The rest is history.

Never mind that. I’m watching the Star Wars Christmas Special and studying it for clues.

Nothing terribly surprising, all that “plan” landed in the books.

Holy crap. Of source Lucas had plans for Skywalker even back then. When Episode 4 hit theaters, everyone was looking for a sequel.

I watched Lucas being interviewed about a year after the original film was released and he stated...

"I have a vision of a nine film arc. Three, starting with Episode 4, 5 and 6. Then a three film prequel showing the early days of the Jedi. Then, the last three film trilogy following the further adventures of Luke Skywalker and his friends."

It always was going to be nine movies. Now, over the years, that layout got convoluted as the "search for more money" kicked in.

The ending to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was one of the best moving endings I have ever seen.
