THE saying goes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day — but apparently only if you eat the right thing.

Those hoping to hear the full English is the way forward will be sorely disappointed too.

According to William Cole, who specialises in nutrition, what we should be eating first thing is a little more unusual.

He told Mind, Body, Green that a breakfast crammed with fat is the key to maintaining energy levels throughout the day, and eating this way will make you more productive.

Eat like a King at breakfast, a Prince at lunch and a Pauper at dinner. Works like a charm.

Whatever you eat shortly before bedtime, gets stored away as fat.

I have the deli counter give me some ham, sliced thick. I put it in a frying pan alongside an egg. When the egg is mostly done, I flip the ham, flip the egg on top of the ham, put a slice of chedder on top, put a lid on and let the cheese melt.

It keeps me going for a while.

Eggs and sausage with either toast or a biscuit is what I have if I am going to be doing physical labor.

Provides short, medium and long term energy.

And coffee. Because if I don't have my coffee I ain't happy. And if momma ain't happy....

Traveling in a fried-out Kombi
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a tax chick, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said
Do you come from a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder?

Yep. My supper is usually some raw veggies and I don’t eat after 6 o’clock. Sometimes I just skip “supper”

LOL! In this establishment, you make your own breakfast.

I will make your supper, however, if you want to lose weight.

Fry the bacon and tamp dry in a paper towel. Cook 2 French Toast in the bacon grease using 3 well beaten eggs and homemade bread. Top with a high quality maple syrup, couple with a large coffee, and that’s breakfast heaven. Juice and other drinks optional. :)

“Gave me breakfast.” Not “made me breakfast.”

“Here’s some bread, and there’s some vegemite in the cupboard.”

Homemade is always better then fast food.

I was going to say homemade is always better then restaurant but the Thai restaurant's Tom Kha Gai is better than mine. I think she has access to some spices I don't. Or maybe it is she has been making it since she was a wee bit of a girl.

Sounds like a plan.

Crappy tequila so poorly distilled that it needs to be diluted and then “fortified”?

With Pop-Tarts, I prefer my dairy accompaniment to be cold, liquid, and white, thank you very much.
