Prorasso is great. Used with a silver tip badger brush is a little slice of heaven.

A great shave soap is THE foundation for a great shave.

I’ve been using this brand for 2-3 years - HIGHLY recommended and comparable to the uber high priced stuff. Nice people who own the business, too.:

I discovered this YouTube channel “Nick Shaves” and his reviews are fairly accurate and he explains his final ratings.

I don’t doubt it.

I worked at Braun in Saugus back in the mid-90s. They were owned by Gillette. Tough commute when I lived in Chelmsford. We were close to one of the Christmas Tree shops, which was a fun place to spend time on my lunch hour.

I still have a little white flower pot that I’ve used in the kitchen to hold cleaning brushes and sponges.

I use feather for special occasions. They are a little to sharp on my face. I actually mix my blades up, as long as they are platinum my face responds well.

What cream do you use?

I save Proraso foe the weekends. Makes them a bit more special.

I just, as in today, got St James of London Cedarwood and Clarysage in the mail. It smells great! Can’t wait to try it in the morning.

“A great shave soap is THE foundation for a great shave.”

I use Ivory, applied with my hand. Subsequent passes with canned shaving cream. There’s a reason 70% of shavers switched to canned shaving cream in the decade it was introduced.

Me too I love the Gillette Mach 3 but they want a fortune for them. They lost my business.

I found ten pack on Amazon for a really good price so I ordered them. They arrived as five 2-packs, Gillette branded but with Turkic script on the box.

They were garbage. I could get a full month out of a single Gillette Mach 3 cassette. These barely lasted a week. I'm guessing they were probably counterfeit.

I was about to buy Executive Man, but went with St Johns Cedarwood and Clarysage instead.

I’ll try Stirling next.

“I switched to Harry’s a couple years ago. Less than half the price of Gillette and everything is mailed to my house. Blade quality is the exact same.”

OK if you like a blade that lasts less than a week and rusts.

My Gillettes cost LESS than twice Harry’s and last two to three weeks of daily shaving.

Actually not true. My Harry's blades last me two weeks and I could actually make them last longer if I wanted to.

No rust. Ever.

Brian is wrong. I have never had an issue with Harry’s razors.

Tried the Harry's trial. One razor and a can of gel for $3.95 shipping. Gel has so much fragrance I can't use it and the blade didn't last as long as a Bic disposable.

No thanks.
