Not sure about this, but I think if you get the badge number and hold on to it until next year at tax time, you can deduct the cost from the top when you do your taxes.

If it is a fairly new car the accident will have caused it to "depreciate" or lose some of it's value. You can claim this as a loss from the other insurance company. It will help offset the deductible amount you will have to pay to have your company cover the initial repairs. You will have to ask for this from them as they will not volunteer it. In writing request payment for enhanced depreciation of your car.
