That just gives the car more character.

This is fairly standard. You were lucky that the guy left his info though.
If the other guy’s insurance company doesn’t get in contact with you within the time your insurance company said to expect them, you contact your own insurance company to notify them of that.

If his info is accurate you are one lucky guy.

It’s a car-——relax-——could have hit a person.

Get a hammer and make the other side match. Then you can say it’s designed to look that way, like the Star Wars prequels.

You should be able to call his insurance company yourself.

Usually if there's a problem with the other driver's insurance covering the repair, your insurer handles it to your satisfaction, then goes after the other company to recoup the costs. They may ask to to sign over your rights to sue the other insurer to them (subrogation).
If the at-fault driver actually left valid information, you're already ahead of the game.

Sorry, I dont understand.:( Ah, so you're Chinese. I will help you understand better the American culture. As an example of what the phrase "gives it more character" means, think of a man. Scars, old age, make a man more handsome and interesting. That is called "character." This is also true for cars, as everyone knows. Most Hollywood celebrities have their cars busted up just like yours. It's hip. Cool. Radical, as we Americans always say.

LOL, I have visions of some guy in a cheesy 70’s era commercial with a yellow plaid bow tie or something...:)

I don’t know it’s accurate or not, but I called the police, and she said she knew that guy, and he live near me.

If the information isn’t good then you get to pay a deductible before they cover the damage. Usually $500 dollars.
