I send them the picture of police report.:)
It doesn't matter. I believe all car insurance now is "no fault." You buy insurance to pay for fixing your car if accident happens - insurance company can't dispute reason or cause, especially since you were not even in the car at the time.
Don’t be a jerk.
Nope, I just leave it there!
Thank you, I just wait see what will happen!
Should be arrested for leaving a site of an accident.
In California you can leave a note with your information. Not that many do.
Sorry for your troubles.
I hope the other guy’s insurance will pay for the damage.
If your car was parked on a public street, you should file a police report. If you were parked on private property, the police probably won’t want to get involved.
Sucks but God allowed it- likely because He has somethign pretty awesome in line for you in the near future-
He left his info. File a report if it’s invalid.
Unless the driver disputes what happen2d, which is unlikely if he left a note-not true. I work insurance claims.
Don’t know why but I expected a Toyota minivan.
Thanks for your reply, yes I got a report from the police.
I once got a call at work from a guy who said I had hit his car. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. He said I had left a note on his truck. Turns out my wife had hit his truck, left a note with my name and phone number.
So how did you deal with this matter?
I’ve NEVER hit a parked car without leaving a note.
Can’t say what the note said, but I always left one :)
I called Geico just to let them know as they are the ones who reached out to Progressive.
That was it. From there it was Progressive all the way.
Got a nice rental car too :)
lol
When i drove a livery 25 years ago, the drivers used to hit parked cars like pinball machines.
Since most of them were unlicensed crack addicts, they tended not to leave notes.
They would also forget to put the gas cap back on after filling up and end of shift and would go driving around to find a new cap from any car on the street that would have a cap that fit.
This was before cameras and strict DOT rules and laws and before locked cap cover.
1. Contact your insurance company (check)
2. Get three estimates for repair.
3. Call your insurance company back and send them COPIES of the estimates.
4. Call HIS insurance company and ask when they intend to settle.
5. Get paid by either your insurance or his insurance.
6. Get car fixed.
Wait for the call, if it doesnt come talk to your insurance company again and hope the damage can be buffed out.

Buffed out? Did you see the pictures?
