Three would-be robbers were shot and killed Monday when an Oklahoma homeowner's son opened fire on them with an AR-15, authorities said.
Wagoner County sheriff's deputies were called to the home in Broken Arrow, southeast of Tulsa at around 12:30 p.m. local time. When they arrived, they found the three dead suspects and two uninjured residents.

Any death resulting from an intentional act is classified as "homicide". Shooting three people with a rifle would appear to be intentional.
"Self-defense" is a mitigating circumstance that makes it justified. Otherwise the death may be considered a crime subject to prosecution.
Let us see if the District Attorney is willing to file charges. My best guess, based upon reported information is that they will not file anything against the resident.
Is there any previous connection between the resident and the newly deceased visitors? That might change things.
Already charged according to what I have read.
That is one trick the gun control crowd never misses. They lump all deaths by gun tho many are justifiable.
Textbook perfect ending for a home invasion story.
That young man saved countless people decades of break-ins, rapes, and murders.
More endings like that, and more thugs would think twice about breaking and entering.
The stakes simply are not high enough theses days.
Unfortunately we get a lot of the white no class losers in my area of AZ who just want to do drugs and lay around all day so they commit local B&E crimes until they get shot. They are everywhere and it’s not just one race. They are loser criminals just waiting to get caught. The problem is they get out and do it all over again.
Sadly, if they would just put forth the effort to better themselves as they do to commit crimes, they would likely do much better both financially and in general.
Not any more.
At least not these three.
Will she be charged for their deaths?

Don't hang out with thugs. Go get a real job at the recycling dump, it's a much better career and life choice than crime, and there's always the prospect of upward mobility.
I don’t know about decades, but we had a good shooting in our town about 20 years ago and the crime rate went way down for a few years according to the police. Yeah, it works.
It would seem unlikely that the resident would be charged, ‘specially considering it happened in Wagoner county.
I don’t know OK law much, but I would think so. Btw, the getaway driver looks like she should be behind the counter at chicken licken or McWhopper.
At such a short range a 7.62 would go straight through the perps and into something else. I would really not like having to replace my cabinets, counters, appliances or having the bullet go out of my home and into my neighbors house.
The girls had never shot for accuracy, so I coached my two girls -- & the range master coached me.

Btw, it seems since they’re all dead, she can allege anything she wants as a defense, I was coerced and intimidated and they raped me on and on. But that’ll be harder for her to do as I believe she’s the oldest of her short lived gang. Not only that, they’ll likely find the suspects all hung around and or were related etc, so coerced won’t sell.
Most sane criminals upon seeing the AR15 would say “f**k this” and depart with some alacrity. You wanna argue with guy with a long gun? See ya, give my regards to lucifer.

Since it was 3 they probably felt a bit more emboldened. Even if only one made an offensive move, he could drop them all, which seems to be the case here. Did they ever ID the suspects?
