A few recent shots from around home. If you have bird shots, please share 'em.

Mr Tricolor enjoys his breakfast.

Common gallinule or marsh hen

Our national bird. Love these amazing raptors

Coots in the sunrise. Lake Jackson is just a block east of us. I have to look at this each morning as I leave home for work.

Thank you very much for the advice, though I don’t use Facebook. I haven’t had to look at how to do this in so long, I have to ask for advice...:)

They rely on such stealth. I love to observe them, on the shore, when I'm paddling.

Someday, I'd love to visit one of their rookeries, like this one in NY state.

A nest of baby parrots fell out of the huge palm tree in my from yard. Maybe they are native.

Very nice. You have some that we don’t see in Florida.

Yours are already the bright yellow! The ones here are still in their transition color.

Florida is being invaded also. I saw four fly over a few days ago. Reported them to the Wildlife Department, for what it’s worth. Invasive species can create a mess with indigenous creatures.

Tricolor herons are pretty common here. The males are especially nice in their mating plumage. Here's another shot of one stalking in the marsh.

I’d post this but I can’t figure it out tonight. Maybe some can post it. This Red Tail was on my telephone pole in the backyard a few weeks ago.

I cannot tell a lie, that picture was taken last year. The only thing at those (neighbor’s) feeders now is nuthatches and other winter birds. I didn’t get a shot of it but, one day there were five males on that feeder simultaneously!
