CNN was not allowed at Fridays White House Press gaggle, a type of press briefing but less formal, which was held in Sean Spicer's office. This on the same day President Trump called out the Fake News at CPAC. Media analyst Mark Dice has the story. Second video shows Shep from FOX upset about this.

What was the thing that Obama explicitly did not invite Fox News to when he first started out?

I remember some hoopla about that and other press jumping in to defend Fox (which had never happened before) and Fox was let in.

In that case, however, I believe it was Robert Gibbs, made it a point to say that Fox was not invited, as opposed to just letting some in and others not.

He says that a free press is crucial or words to that effect. I agree. What I don’t agree with is that the top 10 biggest press/broadcast outlets need to have automatic access to every event.

How about mixing it up a little and giving the little guys a seat at the table?

I don’t want to see the Trump administration only allow in fawning lapdogs (like 0vomit did). We haven’t seen many, if any, lapdogs for Trump. Fox being the least leftist of the major networks obviously with Shep is not a lapdog. But I definitely don’t want to see the opposite, which is what we currently have with every reporter on the attack. I’d like to see some real balance and a mix of viewpoints.

Just because they have a CNN ABC NBC CBS Washington Post LA Times as their name does not make them journalist. When they abandoned the Cannons of Journalism, the ceased becoming legitimate news organizations.

You are creating a PERMANENT division between yourselves and those of us who are overjoyed with what the Trump administration is doing and is going to do. We will not compromise, rather, if you don't stop very quickly your opposition to Trump and work to VOTE who you want into office instead of trying to illegally take over the government, you ARE going to start something you can not finish.

The point is rapidly approaching for many of us where even if you get back into office, we're going to fight you tooth and nail just like you have against our vote and this thing is going to escalate. It won't matter how many votes you get, to us the election will be illegitimate. You are DESTROYING the democratic/republic process. Go BACK to the constitution and do things according to the rules of the Republic. I promise you don't want the alternative.

That’s pretty much the same for me and Lou Dobbs, which you added below. The other program on Fox Biz that is good is Trish Regan (she comes on at 11 a.m. in my area). I’d like to see her get a prime spot on Fox News channel - perhaps the time slot that Martha is temporarily filling (First 100 Days).

Oh, I need to add 2 Saturday shows (sometimes repeated on Sunday) - Jesse Watters and Judge Jeanine. Maria B’s Sunday a.m. show on Fox News channel is usually pretty good, too.
