My favorite beaches are in NorCal and Oregon, none mentioned. Probably because it’s always cold. But the scenery and wildlife is spectacular and since there are not that many people at some of the beaches you can find some great shells in one piece.

What? You don’t like hot-footing it through a sea of beach towels to get to a tepid ocean? I’ll take the brutal Pacific beaches, as well.

I grew up in Orick California. Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon, Freshwater Lagoon, Hidden Beach and Gold Bluffs Beach. Not many people and spectacular.
