• TripAdvisor has released its 2017 Travelers' Choice Awards, naming the 25 best beaches in the US.
• Florida's Siesta Key Beach claims the title of America's best beach, followed by coastal stretches across the country in Hawaii, California, Georgia, and more.
• TripAdvisor also found the cheapest month to visit each beach destination, and the average rate for a hotel room there.

The world is full of gorgeous beaches, so it's easy to forget that the US has some spectacular beaches of its own — especially if you don't live along the coast.

TripAdvisor's 2017 Travelers' Choice Awards, which names the 25 best beaches in the country, serves as a reminder. The selected beaches — based on millions of reviews from travelers using the website between 2015 and 2016 — are sprinkled across the nation in places like Cape Cod and Honolulu.

TripAdvisor has also figured out the cheapest month of the year to travel to each destination, as well as the average cost of a night in a hotel, to help you organize a trip.

Here are the top-rated beaches to prompt your vacation planning:

The black sand beach on Hana Bay on the island of Maui—particularly the part behind the Hana Kai Maui. Idyllic.

That one came to my mind when I saw the article. When we were there, we had it all to ourselves. It probably doesn't get many visitors because Hana is so hard to get to.

SBP is quiet and amazing. Actually, wander south of SPB to Pass-A-Grill and you’ll find quiet and amazing !

Shhh, that's my beach, at least at 21st ave (Circle K). We should get together for sunset sometime. I'm on Vina. I'm worried about our secret especially when the stinkin' road gets finished.

And FWIW Gulf Shores/Ft Morgan in Bama still has the best beaches I've ever seen in the whole wide world. Ft Morgan is way better than Siesta Key.

I enjoyed the beach at Livorno, Italy, and also the one at Nice, France, which I visited in the summer of 1966. The surf at both beaches was not too rough and the water was warm. At Nice, it was turquoise in color.

However, Livorno and Nice might not be very desirable destinations today.

We should get together for sunset sometime. We’re on Vina. You bring the rum, I’ll bring the donuts.

Soooooo tempting...

Do it. That's exactly what we did 8 years ago. I thought I might miss Atlanta, but I do not in the least.

Will never forget the first time I saw Navarre.

I spent a good deal of my childhood in Mary Ester. Back then the only thing on Navarre beach was the Holiday Inn and the Pier.

I grew up in Orick California. Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon, Freshwater Lagoon, Hidden Beach and Gold Bluffs Beach. Not many people and spectacular.

"Will never forget the first time I saw Navarre."

When they were putting in the underwater utilities to Navarre Beach, they ran into a 7,000 year old Cypress forest under Santa Rosa sound. I went there and got some beautiful (red in color) 7,000 year old wood.

"My girlfriend once took me to the beaches at Galveston. They were awful. Brown sand and muddy water. South Padre Island is a little better but still can’t compare to the Florida Panhandle."

I agree. I thought, you're going swimming in THAT.

The twenty years I worked at TI in Houston, I went to the beach at Pensacola Beach.

I spent Christmas 2015 at Pismo, it was 34 degrees.

When I visited San Remo, Italy in 1963, I selected that city as my most favorite place in the world.
(My BIL, who has a travel agency, tells me that it was 'found' some time back.)

Lived most of my life in Fort Lauderdale. It should not be on the list.

St. Pete Beach and St. Augustine Beach are two of my favorites.

Blowing Rock Beach near Jupiter, FL is very nice.

My absolute favorite beach is Bahia Honda State Park. Few people go there. The water is clear and warm. There are reefs just a few feet off shore for snorkeling. The sand is nice. They have picnic tables, grills and bathrooms, all very clean. I hope heaven is as good.
