I checked our her FB page.

If she’s taqiyya,, she’s really gone into it, whole hog.

She’s into horses, dogs, she’s a veterinarian and loves country music and “Twilight”.

Not true. They made it right and have retrained whoever made such a dumb decision

Bigger lesson keep your social media settings on private

Oddly enough, nope.

They were some of Obama’s kinfolk from down around DC.

They’d been going out to the hinterlands of MD and WV, robbing the rubes for quite a while.

But your thoughts were our thoughts, especially considering they knew where to look for copper wire in the neighbor’s garage, that *I* didn’t even know was there, for the last 27 years.

They were “good” at what they did.

Many years ago, we had people coming around to the wastelands, knocking on doors and asking if “so and so” was home, and it was always a name which would never be the name of a local.

If someone answered the door, they apologized for their mistake and left but if no one answered, they robbed the place.

So, when we heard what was going on, without any of us ‘planning’ it, we all, in a collective hillbilly mind, decided to not answer our doors for strangers.

They were finally caught by an old hillbilly who was sitting in his kitchen chair, shotgun pointed at their heads, when they jimmied his door.

I love this place.

:)

January 17, an old lady hit my car from behind, not once but *twice*.

[her car hood was held together with bungee cords, from her last victim]

Messed my beloved Magnum up pretty bad.

So we go to file a claim with her insurance company, only to find they had cancelled her policy, a month before.

We couldn’t get anything from her but State Farm stepped right up and I just got my baby back on Monday, all repainted, frame straightened, whole new complete exhaust system, from the manifold back and every little oddity fixed up.

My car is *better* than it was, before she plowed into me.

Can’t say enough good things about them.

If you go further into the article, they found her photo on a Google image search, not FB.

No matter what your privacy settings are, Google will archive *everything*, anyway.

Just like it archives *everything* on FR.

I reckon the x-no archive command no longer works or no one is using it, here.

Insurers who currently do not discriminate by breed include: AMICA

AMICA asked about my dog and my firearms, assuring me that the guns would have no bearing on my insurability. Since I've been with them for 30+ years, I believed them. No problem. AMICA used to be so exclusive that you had to have a personal referral from one of their other insureds. That has changed.

I’ve never heard of them.

Around here, most people use the big famous companies and Erie.

“[her car hood was held together with bungee cords, from her last victim]”

Never a good sign. In SoCal that means someone of any age who drives looking at their cellphone.

The self-driving car can’t come fast enough here where half of the drivers aren’t paying attention.

Hey!

My Dobie was American line, and he was smart as a whip!

I still mourn his death, though it is now almost 30 years since... Sniff.

Actually, they were the first auto insurance company in the US. One reason they were almost anonymous was the “personal referral” requirement. It was my understanding that they limited their pool of insureds to white collar workers. However, during the past dozen years or so, I’ve seen their ads on tv. A+ carrier, spotless reputation.

She was oblivious .

When I finally managed to stagger out of my car, she was just sitting there, hands on the wheel, staring straight ahead, as if she was waiting for the traffic to move so she could go again.

Never said she was sorry or asked if I was hurt.
[I was]

While we were waiting for the cops to come, she was out wandering around traffic and I had to scare her back into her car, to keep her from being killed.

Her kids came and got her and the officer told me she was “not going to be driving again, ever”.

She will not answer calls from my insurance company.

Just wait until she gets hit with a subpeona and a $4000 bill.

See if she ignores that.

Smart yes, but probably not a fuzzy chainsaw, like my dogs.

:D

I know what you mean.

It’s been 33 years since I lost my Wonder Dobe and not a day goes by without tears.

They become part of you and when they go, that part always aches like a healed fracture on a rainy day.

Then she’s an apostate or a non-Muslim. The real Muslims would kill her as quickly as you or me.

Sounds like an interesting person to meet and talk with.

Efthimiadis is most likely a Greek name.

Had a buddy who had jury duty upcoming. He mentioned his pending jury duty on Facebook and a couple of us responded with comments along the lines of “Guilty!” and “give him a quick, fair trial and then hang his ass”, etc...

Along comes the day for him to report for jury selection. He was called up to the jury box and the defense attorney asked him if he knew any of the following people: (listing off our names.)

He was taken aback, paused, but said cautiously, “Um, sure I do, old friends of mine.”

Haha, the attorney turned to the judge and requested to dismiss juror number 3. Bam! :-)

Siberian huskies? You’ve got to be kidding. Ours was the sweetest thing ever and always at my side. Very intelligent and could figure out cause and effect. She knew if she did x,y,z now that a,b,c would happen in the future. She also held herself to standards and was above rudeness. Miss her terribly and always will.

Someone should call racist on these insurance companies. Not all white folk are skin heads. Not all blacks are thugs. Not all german shepherds are vicious.

If I may add: “if we are citizens.”
