I almost have it - so if the Ruger has a bad lawyer proof trigger that’s bad or that’s good? Sorry I’m a little dense on this.

"CZ82 is better than any in the list."

True, but don't go telling everybody about it, you can still get 'em at a decent price, y'know?

Wife carries S&W Bodyguard 380. What do you mean when you say “lawyer proof triggers?”

“A 9mm in a frame smaller than the Glock 19 is a one shot then search for the sights confusion.”

I disagree. For instance, the Glock 26 and the Glock 43 are both excellent 9mm firearms, and reacquisition of the target is easy.

I do accept that the Glock 19 is the best 9mm handgun on the market, though. It is my favorite piece.

“It might be better to buy a used high-quality gun, than a new low-quality one.”

I could not agree with you more.

It means, in many peoples opinion, that the Ruger trigger sucks. Because it was designed to deter ambulance chasing lawyers.

The first shot is a long pull. That’s a safety measure. After the first shot, the rest are short quick pulls.

The frame mounted safety is important to me as i IWB and pocket carry. But i guess it’s possible to “tune up” the 738 with a better round. My next purchase will be a Makarov, which falls in between the .380 and the 9mm parabellum as far as ballistics goes.

I don’t carry, living on the Liberal Coast in S. CA, but I do own a Hi Point 9MM.

Outside of being a bit heavy IMHO, it always goes bang when you pull the Trigger, always...

The .40 cal version is one of my EDC’s. And the six shot version of the taurus 85, the model 856 is another. So I’ve got this list well covered.. The Kel-Tecs are junk.

What’s a “lawyer proof” trigger please.
*************
A trigger where you have to exert a lot of energy to pull it... usually more than 6 lbs. of pull strength. You can call it “lawyer proof” because it is very difficult to “accidentally” pull it all the way through.. however such a strong pull generally means that if you do not have strong hands and fingers or you don’t pull the trigger smoothly but jerk it a bit you are likely to go off target.

Always remember that if you ever have to use your weapon the police will confiscate it as evidence and you may have to wait a very long time to get it back, if you even get it back. Also keep in mind that you want a reliable shooter with enough punch to bring down a charging crack addict with one hit in case that is all you get. While I would never want to get shot by a 22 magnum I just don’t think it is a good selection unless it is for someone who simply can not handle the recoil of a higher calibur. Also, you don’t want to have the police take a $4000.00 Wilson from you so do keep the price reasonable. My first Glock purchase was a G43 and I have been very happy. Loaded with 7 Hornady Home Defence 9mm rounds I feel comfortable I can protect myself in public. Another thing I carry is membership card from Concealed Carry Association of America. At $30/mo I get a lawyer on scene witin 24 hours and 1 million dollars of leagal protection if I use my weapon. The peace of mind is well worth it.

Makarovs were a bargain...when they were a bargain.

I have, until I lost it (obligatory), a LCP in .380, I never experienced that problem with a mag. The only real problem for me is my grip, mag housing too short. I have ‘Large’ hands! I get around the grip issue with extended mags. It’s a great pocket pistol for something up close and personal, like mobs of 10 or less.

I don’t care for the LCP. It’s really too small for my big hands and it just hurts to shoot the darn thing. I chucked it; didn’t care for it at all. Now show me a nice S&W liteweight revolver in .38 caliber and about $380.... Pretty good option and just over the $

That said, I really like my Ruger LC9s, it’s very nice.

Have you tried a grip glove that installs over the grip? People seem to really like them and they don’t cost much.
