Isaac Asimov Dr. Asimov was a great writer of science, fact and fiction. In his personal life, he was a leftist of the first magnitude, from what I recall of his autobiography.
A good example of loving the work, but SMH at the person doing it. He lived in an era where he understood that spewing his political beliefs could alienate much of his audience, though, so he seldom popped off. Would that some of the morons in entertainment today would follow his principle.

yeah, but I’d say Amazon Women on the Moon is a comedy really, like the Kentucky Fried Movie. Not sure I’d classify it a sci fi.
It was funny, but not as funny as KFM.

The psychology was marvelous. I liked the way they explored religion, as well. Everyone has religious beliefs; sometimes they can be harmonized, and sometimes they can’t. It made much more sense than the “Star Trek” idea that religion would disappear because technology.

Ok, fair enough, I watched it, and can only remember a snippet or two. So I guess for me not really memorable.

The world is full of movies, books, etc., that one knows a little about but hasn’t actually engaged.

SeaQuest was such a let down.
I liked Airwolf as implausible as it was. Blue Thunder was good.

I thought B5 was very fair to religion.
JMS wrote a good scriptwriting book. I have a copy.

Years ago back in public TV land, we had a show called “What In The World Is It?”
People brought in oddball and unusual antiques and oddities. The resident experts had to work out what it was or at least come close if possible.
One time a guy had some of the original TOS props. He had the communicators, little phaser, and maybe the bigger one.
The communicator dials according to him were off Matchbox cars.

Dragon's Domain. This one eyed, hypnotizing monster that vacuumed up astronauts and spit out their charred corpses. Scared the crap out of me when I was 9. Ditto!

I DO remember Salvage I. Andy Griffith

Yeah, that’s a blast from the past! I forgot that one. Lidsville, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, The Bugaloos, HR Puff-n-stuff... I’m probably forgetting another one!
