Don't buy her cupcake book. That was wholly phoned in. Her pie stuff is great.

Pecans rock. I can’t eat them any more having gotten a weird allergy a few years ago to macadamias, and doc says to avoid tree nuts.

I am now substituting chopped pumpkin seeds for nuts in recipes. It’s working. But they are not pecans. Or hazelnuts. Sigh.

Yaelle, as our resident sociologist, I need some help.

I have had 2,3 dreams about Obama over the last week. I have been gunning after him since ‘07, really ‘04 at his DNC speech.

In these dreams, I am aiding/abetting him because he runs me down in the dream. What does this mean? In waking I want him vaporized at the first opportunity.

Are you the resident sociologist or me? I hope it’s you because I didn’t pay too much attention to my sociology class as I was trying to get the cute professor to go out with me. Which he didn’t and then I met my second husband. Doors... windows...

I am an excellent dream analyzer - for real. But I would need more detail. The words people use to describe their dreams are very telling.

For instance, I don’t know if you meant by the word “gunning” that you simply “had it out” for Obama or if you meant something using an actual weapon. But you did use the word GUNNING. Also, you feel you are helping him in the dream, but I don’t know if you are actually doing something to help him or what. And then he runs you down, I don’t know what you mean by that. Could be he hits you with a car, or insults you.

And, of course, Obama might be Obama in the dream, he could be someone in your life for whom Obama is a good symbol, or Obama could represent a concept to you here. Thought if he represented another person in your life, you WOULD be able to know whom.

Since your words indicate strong violent conflict, I’d say the dream is definitely about something stark to you, strong emotions, at war between two sides, people, or entities.

But I’d need to know more. And if Barack shows up in my dream tonight (as I am on my way to bed) I will be gunning for you tomorrow!! Lol. Yuck.

Chopped any smaller and they’d be ‘losted’. Still good, but lost. Have also made this using flaked coconut rather than pecans. Still darn good.

Mrs. Smith really spiked the interest in Crazy Cake, Wacky Cake, etc. Found there are a number of different names with basically the same instructions. Even a spice one. Fudge still holds the #1 spot, however.

Washington Post had this article on FB with 3 different menu options. Some of them look quite interesting.

They are a hard nut to crack. Could always be found in the toe of a Christmas stocking. Not a favorite - pecans and almonds rate above him. Brazil nuts the last on that scale.
Hazel nuts seldom eaten; preferred in the butters such as Nutella or the newer Jiffy. My aunt would use walnuts when making divinity; along with her pecan divinity. Loved divinity but could eat very little - jaws would lock due to the sweetness.

When a recipe calls for walnuts, pecans are normally used. After all, cook’s choice. Right?

Cake Batter flavor is becoming popular. While searching for Chap Stick yesterday saw this new flavor along with a favorite (Spearmint) and Green Apple flavor. They still sell Cherry, Strawberry as well. Cake Batter - would that be chocolate, white, coconut, lemon, mocha? Ingenuity!

Living low processed carb is the way to live! But if your gut bugs are happy with the healthy starchy and fibrous carbs you give them, you’ll find that one meal or even day where you eat naughty is ok, because the next day your bugs will crave the food that is good for you again.

At least that is what I find, now hat I am paying attention to my gut biome and the cravings they give me. I don’t crave sweets any more, though I still love chocolate. I love sweet chocolate from afar. I will chew some 85% chocolate from time to time. My gut bugs crave roasted veggies every day. So I now can return to my healthy diet even after a birthday or Valentine’s Day. Because these days -— and desserts we can’t pass up -— will happen!

I am it telling you to go off your eating plan though! Just letting you know I found a way to make exceptions work. They don’t make me say Aw, forget it all now, pass the cheese curls. ;) I really do crave the powdered fibers and the roasted veggies, and sometimes greens.

What is Plant City? In the USA, it is NOT strawberry season. They may be grown in hothouses but that does not make them seasonal.

I've seen articles that say you can get the bird vaccinated for salmonella, and the dose itself is $.05. And I think the typical chicken can lay 200 eggs.

I thing the EU requires it, but the US does not.

Any way, you can also sous vide the uncooked egg at some non-cooking temperature to minimize the problem.
