Should Trump Dump Gorsuch? Absolutely...No Matter the Cost...But, What Say You?

Posted on 02/08/2017 8:36:49 PM PST by Be Careful

Gorsuch had the temerity to criticize the person who has nominated him to a life-time SCOTUS position......with his comments that criticized Trump's style, I think that Gorsuch has disqualified himself to fulfill the position for which Trump has nominated him.......Gorsuch has outed himself as a fellow "Spineless John Roberts"

“Blumenthal lied about his military service, so why should I believe what he has to say?”

Bingo.

GORSUCH’s SPOKESMAN CONFIRMS STATEMENTS!!!!!!!

The spokesman is a never-Trumper, and I think he was simply "assigned" to Gorusch to guide him though the confirmation procedure... assigned by whom, I don't know... someone in the Senate.

Are you a plant who posts only to cause hate and discontent?

Something doesn’t smell right. No link; just a vanity post with nothing to back up your claim.

And what does “Be Careful” even mean?

Not our court system; one liberal activist judge and the known liberal activist 9th circus (as people call it).

Well, include Laura Ingram. She is Tweeting out second thoughts about Gorsuch.

I think we need to hear more about this from Gorsuch before we even talk about anything.

This conversation was relayed to the press 2nd and 3rd hand.

We have already lost count since Trump’s inauguration of media stories where what was said was twisted, distorted or just plain lies.

There are even a couple other ways the comments could have been meant other than how they were reported.

If totally accurate, let the wrangling continue.

Even the supposed confirmation of the statement wasn’t from Gorsuch himself. Who the heck knows how it may have all been blown out of proportion?

The left is playing hard ball with trying to drive wedges into the right and divide us. Let’s not make it too easy for them.

He’s probably ok. Now that he is being considered for the Supreme Court I’d like to know his views on stare decisis. IF he said what is reported, it’s too bad. “Demoralizing and disheartening” is overblown.

Maybe he is just ambitious, and just attended church where the best local network of powerful people attended.

There were post claiming that the Federalist Society was pushing Gorsuch and that he was a very bad choice.

However, all of those threads got pulled because we were all supposed to be on the TRUMP CAN DO NO WRONG bandwagon.

So naysayers were nuked.

Maybe the mods shouldn't have been so quick to act.

“Is he a member of such church?”

If this IL Freeper’s comment is true, yes he is. He supposedly is also an Usher at the Church. This needs to be researched by someone who knows how to do such things. I present the info, someone now needs to pick up the ball and research it as to the veracity of his Church membership in Boulder, CO.

I understand that over 50 migrants from the seven countries on the POTUS list committed terrorist acts. If Neil thinks its wrong for Pres. Trump to find fault with a sitting Judge who either didn’t do his due diligence to find the facts out or knew and ignored the danger his order put Americans in, then Neil thinks that Judges’ are above criticizm even when they are activists making wrong decisions.

I like the Trump Apprentice board room scene, Neil must answer to Trump how he could say something so stupid when the Constitution clearly gives Trump the right to just declare a halt to entry into the USA for cause.

he may have made a deal with Trump where he would offer mild criticism of Trump to show his ‘independence’ with the hope that he could pull off a few Democrat votes.

The same notion occurred to me. That would be high level.

You are such a drama snowflake. If you have noticed, Gorsuch is not an employee of Trump. He will be part of a branch of government equal to the presidency, who never has to talk to Trump again if he doesn't want to. I realize I wrote the judiciary is an equal branch, which is what the Constitution indicates, but it seems we are living in an era that it super cedes the other two branches.

FWIW, his statement makes is easier for him to get confirmed. After all, there was a chorus demanding whether Gorsuch can be independent and not beholden to Trump. It appears that Gorsuch is not beholden to Trump and the Dems best argument is now gone.

Trump also can't withdraw the nomination without the press going wild and focusing even more on whether Trump is stable enough to be president as they are starting to do.

Trump is going to receive a ton of criticism everyday he is president. He better get used to it sooner than later. Look at the abuse W Bush took every day for years. Trump is going to have to get used to it but at least Trump will respond unlike Bush.

The Vox article you posted links to a WaPo article which states:

He belongs to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Boulder, Colo., the Episcopal diocese of Colorado confirmed on Wednesday.
