Non-news. My daughter at USC does this in her non-paid internship.
Comforting to know that the movies and tv shows you watch originally entertained a 20-something unpaid student.
Think she’ll send on a script about a family in the heartland with a Mom and Dad who pray and stay together?
Did they give her some sort of guidelines on how to filter the scripts? If so that would make more sense.
The sense of entitlement is strong with this one - well, the road apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it?
I’m sure she got this position as recognition for her previous performance in a similar.... never mind

I guess it is noteworthy that she got a PAYING gig that most 20 year interns would not, is it political payoff? That’s the only part of this worth considering.

One of my kids had a similar unpaid internship for James Cameron. He wasn’t a film major, but got the job because he was an aficionado of old films and was able to reference them when appropriate (whereas a lot of his peers refused to watch b&w films).
I hear its about a rich, entitled, out-of-touch woman who complains about how hard her life is while her husband plays golf all day.
Interesting what the children of the elite choose for jobs, and what they view in society as valuable and important.

If any 20 year old approved the Weinstein movies mentioned above I would be surprised.
I’ve seen them all——and they were terrific,especially “The Artist”.
