When the nominations for the 89th Academy Awards were unveiled Tuesday morning, seven of the 20 acting nominations were for people of color, including a Best Actor nod for Denzel Washington (Fences), Best Actress recognition for Ruth Negga (Loving), Best Supporting Actor honors for Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) and Dev Patel (Lion), and Best Supporting Actress nods for Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures), Viola Davis (Fences) and Naomie Harris (Moonlight).

And now Rhodes (War Machine) is paralyzed like the comics character. Styx from DD is also blind. The Punisher is suffering from a form of PTSD. Jessica Jones also has PTSD. Batman in Batman Beyond and The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2 can barely walk from years of combat and old age.
A “T” romantic comedy?
Trying to imagine how funny that can be. Probably as funny as “muslim humor.”
That’s really not an aspect of these theoretical LGBT shows that I want to dwell on. ;)

I thought Christopher Reeve was our first disabled Superman.
In the 1990s, there was a short lived TV show about a black disabled scientist who designed a suit for mobility but gained super strength/flying from it - kind of like a mobility suit turning you into Iron Man.
Yet I don’t see Mantis in reruns anywhere.
Well if he is waiting for this in Hollyweird he is going to wait a loooooooooong time! Libs could care less about diversity.
