DB Cooper, if still alive, is likely currently a FReeper IMHO.
I think Cooper probably died in the jump, but cannot pretend it's beyond reasonable doubt. What I would say is that if he died then he likely would have been reported missing if he were in regular employment at a place like Boeing. Though he could have been an ex employee.
This find is definitely of interest, but let's everyone not jump to conclusions about him working for Boeing. Im certain other places also used these rare earth elements.

I agree-I think he survived and lived very quietly so as not to attract undue attention-MrT5 was convinced he went to Canada to live-and most people knew then how to launder small bills, like the ones Cooper specified he would get-it is much harder now to launder even small bills unless you own a business or know a drug cartel capo...

One very experienced individual homed in on the wrong fire and came down in some trees.
They found him OK still in the harness.

He said, he could not see the ground and did not know if the reserve would safely get him down.
Tall dense woods, freezing rain and ol’DB is not experienced at this.
