An Orange County daredevil famous on YouTube for jumping off buildings and landmarks was placed under investigation by police after reportedly jumping from a Laguna Beach hotel last week and injuring himself. Anthony Booth Armer, 28, of Laguna Niguel was hospitalized after injuring his feet when a stunt went awry at the Pacific Edge Hotel.

The video also shows photos of the injuries Armer sustained in the late-night incident. He posted another video Tuesday of hospital technicians pulling bandages from his feet.
The Laguna Beach Police Department was notified of the incident after a hotel manager called Thursday, Sgt. Tim Kleiser said.
The manager saw on surveillance footage from the previous night that someone was trespassing on hotel property around 8:20 p.m., Kleiser said. Employees apparently came across Armer.

I’ve followed this boy for years and dearly adore his skills and braveheart....my wife and I pray for his safety in our prayers....is he stupid by your personal measure?

I get to see geniuses like this on a regular basis during my 30 year career as an ER doc. For example this guy, if he broke his calcaneus is at very high risk of a lumber fracture,and if he didn’t get one it’s just luck. So easily could have chronic back pain for the rest of his life, have a hard time working, etc etc.
Yeah I think he’s stupid.

Doesn't work like that. Adsense is how Google pays people for commercials aired over someone's videos. They use a number called "RPM" which changes over the year but it boils down to dollars per 1000 views. It can be as low at 50 cents or as much as $4. I've found it averages just under $1.
2.5 million views is worth about $2500 bucks. More if the advertised items are "clicked through". Popular videos also get better ads that pay more, so a super popular video might earn several dollars per 1000 views.

You can add it, but not without looking even worse for doing so.
And there is a huge difference between someone who lives wrapped in bubblewrap and someone who takes reasonable steps to reduce risk.
I’ve been shot at in combat. There is a reason for doing that. I’ve hiked alone and far from trails - but now that cell phones exist, I take one with me. I ride horses and motorcycles, but I also use a helmet on motorcycles and on horses I don’t trust. I spent much of my adult life strapping into ejection seats - but I also pre-flighted the ejection seat.
I also wear pants in public. I don’t run around with my balls hanging out just to show I have a pair, and I don’t put them on a BBQ grill just to show how fearless I am. YMMV.
Obviously it’s time to ban hotel pools. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this moron sues the hotel.
