Spending less by getting rid of Obamacare could end up costing a whole lot more.
Up to 3 million jobs in the health sector and other areas would be lost if certain key provisions of the Affordable Care Act are repealed by Congress, a new report said Thursday.
At the same time, ending those provisions could lead to a whopping $1.5 trillion reduction in gross state product from 2019 through 2023, according to the study.

2. Nothing but doom and gloom, as usual from the Left about how much more of a disaster things will be, on top of the disaster they threw on us. 3. No talk about how many jobs were lost because of o'care. 4. No talk about all the "made up jobs", like the folks that would guide you thru the process of signing up for the disaster. 5. No talk about how much it's cost American's, across the board, whether they're paying for o'care or had their insurance policies affected by it in some negative way. 6. No talk about all the people that had perfectly good/decent insurance plans, lost them because of o'care and were forced to buy into the disaster. 7. No talk about all the folks that have chosen to pay the penalty in lieu of buying plan. 8. No talk of the 58 yr old man that has maternity coverage in his plan 9. No talk of how they lied about it, rammed it thru without any support from the Republicans, actually gutted a bill that had already passed and replaced all the language with o'care language, how the exempted themselves.
Cut it off, now. Who cares if there's a "Republican" replacement. Within a week, insurance companies will go right back to selling insurance the way they did before. Businesses will go right back to providing insurance the same way they did before. Within a month or two, no one will know the difference.
What sort of jobs ?
Paper pushers who can do the same thing elsewhere ?
Will those “good” people at the IRS lose their jobs because of the repeal?
Any bets these parasites keep THEIR jobs?
“Up to 3 million jobs in the health sector and other areas would be lost if certain key provisions of the Affordable Care Act are repealed by Congress”
Maybe then can get jobs in the green energy sector just like Hillary told the coal miners they would when she closed the coal mines.
The spanish etc etc etc speaking people they hired to give free Obamcare to illegals.

Yahoo Times?
When you want a collection o’clowns even more incompetent than the MSM.
More of the well-planned and coordinated attack by the corrupt MSM to try and save Obamacare on behalf of Obama and Democrats.
First, who financed this “report”. I question it’s accuracy and legitimacy. Second, of the “jobs lost” how many are part of the severely bloated healthcare bureaucracy that needs to be cut?
And yes, it is the Yahoo News, but I much rather the Yahoo Times, which correctly labels it as a very troubled little sister of the NY Times.
Totally agree
Exactly. Those jobs were made as a result of the disaster, because they needed people to process paperwork, etc.
I’m also kind of curious to know how finance and construction jobs will be affected by it. If I’m not mistaken, the majority of the jobs created in this country, over the last 7 years, have been part time, directly because of the disaster.
Here we go...the MEDIAPUKES known as FAKENEWS will be riddled with falsehoods to blame and try to bing down any project or swamp area PRESIDENT TRUMP(I just love how that rings) PRESIDENT TRUMP will bulldozed!!!
And many millions more made by the private sector these idiots can’t understand now.
Those jobs weren’t or aren’t in “healthcare”..... They are in oppressive no-value added management regulation and invasion of the real process. If there were/are any actual healthcare layoffs it is because they were sacrificed realizing that it is a BUSINESS! and that getting rid of the bureaucrats will invite MORE regulation and penalty.
You get rid of that damned law and fire all the leeches that have latched onto it with no value added and the actual healthcare costs will get back to reality, especially if you stop limiting insurance companies from meeting 50 different states’ requirements to serve “their” citizens. FREE TRADE AND COMMERCE!
They were #fakejobs anyway.
To say nothing of the huge sociological effects this will have!
1) A huge upsurge in racism. Every black family will now have weekly cross-burnings in the front and back yards. Legislation to re-establish slavery will be forthcoming from the Republicans in Congress.
2) A huge upsurge in homophobia. Every LGBTQ person will be hunted down, persecuted and likely tortured. Videos of the persecution will be placed on Youtube for the enjoyment of constitutionalists nationwide.
3) Women will be all grabbed by the p***y on a daily basis. They will be deprived of their rights and will be classified as chattel.
4) Cats and dogs will be forced to live together.
5) Plastic bottles will go unredeemed in landfills.
The list is endless.
The whole thing is a giant lie. In reality for every nonproductive government job cut, probably two or three productive private sector jobs eventually take its place. No good comes from employing a bunch of booger eaters to sit around and muck up the system. It is a total dead end. But when useful products and services are produced there are almost always downstream benefits in the employment market.
I said this back in 2009 when this whole thing was being formulated and coming to fruition.
Liberals supporting this were doing everything they could, BEFORE the legislation was even passed, to create a poison pill that would make repeal difficult or impossible.
They began hiring people, leasing (probably long term leases) and developing property, furnishing it with office equipment, computers, furniture, and building the bureaucracy before the ink was even dry.
They wanted to fill it with so much human and material bureaucracy that articles like this would come up.
But think about it...3 million jobs. Three million bureaucratic jobs created out of thin air by liberal legislation in the past eight years.
This Yahoo article is based upon a “report” from The Commonwealth Fund, a liberal think tank headed by a former Democratic staffers. In other words, a completely biased study with a politically desired conclusion.
