I'm working on a cat-centric song, and I'd love to make the video for the song out of Freeper cat videos.
If you're interested, here's the skinny:
1. Only video of your own cats, please - nothing from YouTube or the like unless you own it.
2. No money, but I'll credit your cats if you tell me their names.
3. There is no Rule 3.
4. If you want to submit a video, please post a link to it to this thread. I can't guarantee that all videos will be used.
5. When the final video is done, I'll post it to YouTube and leave a notification here.
Not really. I just calls them as I sees them. Hoping for more creativity but it never shows up.
Um, some of those aren’t even real cats....
Awwww...he loves you!
All I really need is cute cats doing cute cat things - playing, eating, sleeping, raising hell, etc. Anything you happen to have on hand.
The gold standard would be a cat or cats facing down a squirrel, bird, etc, through a window, but those can be hard to come by.
I start editing video in a day or two, which is why I asked for existing videos.
Thanks again! What a sweetie!
LOL! Sold!
That is Zizu, formerly a feral street urchin, captured at about 7 months old and socialized. She is the heroine and delight of the neighbors' 17 month old daughter, who goes to sleep every night calling Zizu's name. I actually rescued her from the rescue, which was a 4th rate one which boarded the cats they got off the street with a very sketchy veterinarian whose degree was from the University of the Caribbean or some such. He was found guilty of negligence in the death of a lady's dog by the NJ Veterinary Board, he was skewered in the press as the head vet of a local animal shelter where the animals had no food or water, were given expired or half doses of vaccines, and had to live in feces-caked cages. So Zizu had a very rough start in life. Like the unsinkable Molly Brown, this gutsy little feline prevailed.
I cannot adequately describe the light Zizu brings into my life with her adorable antics. They definitely broke the mold when they created her!
She’s amazing. So glad the two of you got together.
His name is Lambert and I love him to pieces. He was semi-feral when I found him about a year and a half ago. The first time I brought him inside, he tried to jump out of the upper sashes of the windows, knocked a bunch of plants off a table and peed a little bit! But obviously he has warmed up a lot. :)
He is FIV+. :( Hopefully he will last a while. He’s so snuggly and such good company all day.
Here is Zizu playing with what used to be my Maine Coon Bijou's favorite toy. Since Zizu took a shine to it, Bijou can only look on longingly waiting for her chance. But Zizu, being a little brat, won't relinquish it!
I need a video of my cats throwing their ‘Chirping Nemo Toy’ into their water bowl, every time we buy them a new one. But they always do it when we’re away.
We’ve spent about $50 on ‘Chirping Nemos’ over the last year; it’s the only toy that they really like. And almost every day we come home, find it in the water, and have to wring it out. Abut half the time, it still ‘chirps’.
Why do cats do that? I always thought it was raccoons who want to ‘wash’ everything...
3. There is no Rule 3.
My kitty Pearl would do that, depositing toys in either food or water bowl, whenever she was done playing with them. Said bowls being on the bathroom counter to keep the dogs out of them.
There was this one time I took my seat on the, uh, throne & then realized the toy she’d left was breathing. Yes, she had caught a young rat & played with it until the point of exhaustion!
Luckily B’rer Rat stayed right where he was while I completed my business & fetched a pair of thick gloves. I apologize here & now for the visual, but he got a full body swirly.
A word to the wise that if your felines insist upon a baptism, keep the seat down!
(Sorry Slings, no video. Arncha glad? LOL)
They ways of the Masters are not for their servants to criticize.
Might not mesh with the mood I’m after, you betcha.
A true success story!
