Jets turn themselves into a total embarrassment on 'Monday Night Football'
Yahoo ^ | December 5, 2016 | Frank Schwab

After the third play of the game, a third-down incompletion from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, New York Jets fans started loudly booing. It’s like they knew what was coming and were warming up early. NFL players and coaches bristle whenever the word “quit” is brought up. But if what we saw on Monday night in a 41-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts was the Jets actually trying, they’re even worse than we thought.

J(ust)-E(ndure)-T(he)-S(uffering). As a J-E-T-S fan there is the consolidation we are not the Browns.

Don't worry - The Bills are still left on the schedule and I am sure Fitz will turn into Tom Brady for at least one night as he always does when facing them.

Translation he will suddenly play great and screw up your draft position (said as a Bills fan that watched him do it year after year).

I’m not sure how talented this Jets team is anyway, but it really didn’t help that they didn’t sign Fitzpatrick until well into training camp. There’s a lesson to be learned here that you see played out over and over again in sports. A superstar can get away with showing up late for training camp, but most players never catch up and play poorly in these cases.

Bad play like this is a team effort. A lack of a solid offense coupled with a bad defense, and one player cannot make the difference. It will take several years of good drafts, judicious trades, and a change at the top to bring the Jets back.

that had absolutely nothing to do with it...Fitzpatrick was always a mediocre QB who had a career year in 2015 and had no chance of repeating his performance...he even sucked at times in 2015- very inconsistent...

the Jets had a very thin margin of error entering the year; their left tackle surprisingly decided to retire before the draft, they lost their starting RB to free agency, they have no tight ends, their top defensive player and best player on the team was coming off a severely broken leg and they had to replace one starting cornerback while the other (Revis) is on the downside of his career...factor in last years schedule was a cream puff while this years is a killer schedule and the recipe was their for disaster..

i was at the game last night and left before halftime...in the parking lot for 2 hours eating barbacued ribs and drinking Molsons Golden and in the stadium for just over an hour to watch that garbage...

Well, hoping that the Jets don’t take 107 years to win another Super Bowl.

If Fitzpatrick was mediocre this year it would be a great improvement.

Well, at least the Jets have a bye week coming up... AKA Kneelin’ Sackerpick and the hot mess called the 49ers.

My nephew-in-law grew up in Jersey and has been a Jets and Mets fan all his life. Thanks to him my niece and her kids (all Massachusetts born and bred) are the same.If he wasn't 6 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier than me I'd show him what for!

The coach announced at the after game press conference that Bryce Petty is now the starting QB. He also said the team sucked 10 times during the presser.

In a city that was Ground Zero for 9-11? Do they REALLY think they can sell that?
