Fitz still looked like Joe Montana next to media darling Kaepernick

Same here. Grandparents lived in Queens so went for the teams at Shea Stadium.

In classic fashion, the Jets are simply mailing it in. I watched on MNF and can’t remember when Gruden has been so openly critical of any team, coaching staff, or organization on the airwaves.

What are all you sports junkies doing watching the NFL? Where are your principles?
You might as well watch hours of those lame football programs that play replay after replay after replay after replay from games 30 years ago. Sheesh!

Hold the phone. I thought with the signings of Forte and Marshall from the Bears the Jets were gonna clean house!

Jets need to sign Romo, injuries and all.

If I'm Romo, I go to the Broncos.

When you’re a Jet you’re a Jet all the way,
from your first incomplete till your last busted play.

Ny is a much bigger market and the Jets have the money to pay him if they are serious about winning.

I remember the days with Namath.
Man they stink now though.

Denver has at least as much money to play with than the Jets, and the Broncos own Denver, whereas the Jets will always be NY's second team. In the era of the salary cap, bidding wars cannot really take place. The Jets have a bad track record with other high profile QB signings (Tebow, Favre) The Broncos are the world champs but could use an up grade at QB.

the city that elected DiBlasio (Wilhelm), lets bums pee in the street, refuses to cooperate with the Feds on illegals?
Yes I think they can sell it.

Endorsements are a big part of a players decision making and there simply is no market even close to that of NY, certainly not Denver. The jets can find room salary cap wise by restructuring contracts of a few other players. It’s done all the time.

The NFL is not like baseball, where a guy like Lou Pinella or Phil Rizzuto made good money off of Sportsphone and the Money Store for years, but guys on the St. Louis Cardinals don't do so well because of the smaller market (outside of a Mark McGwire type). The NFL has a national following with national endorsements, and John Elway is a bigger deal as a Denver Bronco than he ever could have been with the Jets. Peyton Manning has all the national endorsements he wants, despite playing with Indianapolis (talk about SMALL market) and Denver. Dallas is not as big a market as New York either, but Cowboys gear outsells Giants and Jets gear combined times three.
The Giants are a serious draw, and the Jets will always be the awkward kid sister. Romo is also up there, and he wants the championship more than he wants the money. The Jets don't have the pieces for him. The Broncos clearly do.
NYC also has insane taxation at both state and city levels. That is now becoming a consideration for NYC and LA.
