I prefer banishment over punishment.
Hanging would be ideal, because it is punishment and banishment - the perfect deterrent.
But short of hanging, they just need to be marginalized, ignored, exposed as irrelevant fools and not provided with a microphone or a stage or a camera to respond. Stop inviting them on “fair and balanced” panels to “debate”. Stop letting them present their talking points.
I wish people would stop enjoying the “sport” of fake debate and fake discussion panels. These so called debates on the so called news shows never lead to any conclusion. They just end with the host saying “good debate” and agreeing to have the lying leftist back on the show to repeat the same trash.
I’m always yelling at the TV: “No!! It was NOT a good debate!!” In a good debate there is judging, there is a winner and a loser. There was no score at the end. The same leftist lies, the same misuse of data and statistics and the same logical fallacies were repeated without being debunked, as they easily could be if that was the goal, rather than ratings.
Even Hannity, who I like, allows his token leftists to run wild without consequence. Dobbs is the only one that lets no one get away with anything but FBN is not in that many homes. I like Tucker Carlson’s new show - he lets the leftists on his show but at least he calls them pigs, fools and liars to their face.
I’m tired of this BS that “we need to hear the other side so we know what we’re up against”. Even here on FR there are all these leftist articles posted without even the courtesy of a barf alert.
It’s like justifying watching three hours of hard porn every night and saying you’re doing it to stay abreast of what the kids are being exposed to, to be a better parent.
Like on the five. I don’t need to hear what Juan Williams has to say and then listen to Eric Bolling get so frustrated trying to correct him - it’s an endless cycle that never gets resolved - a big waste of everyone’s time.
Why can’t we just have a couple news shows where you can just hear the truth about what’s happening?
Tough talk and clarity is not what causes war. It’s weakness and vacillation. Reagan proved that but we have already forgotten it seems.
Nobody wants to lose a war. Make sure your enemy knows which issues you’ll fight over, and that your people have the resolve to fight to the death. Make sure your issues are honorable (and liberty is the only honorable issue I know of). Then make sure you have the military might to win that fight.
That is the recipe for peace.
