There was an hourly production worker at my plant whose life was ruined because of a false accusation. Back in 2005 Andy was accused by his teenage daughter's friend of molesting her. Now keep in mind that Andy was one of the hardest workers in the plant and the easiest to get along with. Unfortunately he married a gal that was a nut case and Andy had been given custody of their daughter following their divorce.
Andy was thrown in jail and at his arraignment the female judge actually called him a sexual predator and a monster without yet hearing the case......
After all was said and done and thousands of dollars in legal fees spent defending himself, it was discovered that his ex wife conspired with the girl and had her make the false accusation against him..........
Meanwhile you suffer the indignity of allegedly molesting a teenager, you lose your friends and all the neighbors no longer trust you........
At the end of 2006, our plant closed and the following summer Andy hung himself..............I can't help but believe that all he had been thru led to a deep depression that was only exacerbated by the closing of our plant and he was unable to deal with it.
Take my word for it: the Podestas are not the suicide-type.
My husband (lawyer) had a client whose brother had a similar story. He spent time in JAIL because his stepdaughter wanted to get her way - and even though her best friend or somebody was on record saying she lied - the guy still spent a year or 2 in jail, and the teenager got exactly what she wanted. Terrible said story, and why witch hunts even for pedos should NOT be tolerated.
Accusing someone of being a pedophile, without any real evidence to back it up, is about as low as a person can get.
One of my good friends was accused by his ex-wife. She’s a nut and lost custody of their daughter. She’s one of those that would just throw anything out there for her gain.
I would have little doubt that your former co-worker’s ex-wife contributed to his death. Sorry people like her should carry that burden the rest of their lives but I don’t believe they do. They really don’t care about anything but their own shallow existence.
