A former Hillary Clinton staffer claimed Monday that Donald Trump is plotting to put his White House rival in jail because of her involvement in the Wisconsin recount.
Neera Tanden, an adviser to Clinton the first time she ran for president, said Trump was 'lying' on the campaign trail when he said he'd lock his general election opponent up.
'Then, last week, he said he wasn't going to prosecute her, and now he's threatening to prosecute her if she takes part in a recount,' Tanden, head of the liberal think tank Center for American Progress, asserted on MSNBC.

This person is just as hysterical and misinformed as the rest of the liberals-a president can’t prosecute anyone-even if he/she is an attorney-but their attorney general can-and probably will...
One thing is certain: he missed his opportunity to pardon Hillary with no downside to himself when he didn’t mix her pardon in with those of the turkeys.
...didn’t Barky just say the other day that he couldn’t give a pardon to Snowden, Assange or Hillary until they have been convicted of a crime....
I just think that there is a leak in the Trump room and I’m looking straight at Kelly Anne...she is well liked by Ivanka and husband and I don’t think they have all their facts in line...I know Trump relies on Ivanka but there is a leak there somewhere...
And there’s a problem just how?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Obama grant last minute pardons of many more - numbering in the hundreds, if not in the thousands.
My thoughts exactly
Bingo! We agree. Critically speaking, both of our posts are factually correct and not at all inconsistent.
BTW, head games are allowable in a blood sport. {;^)
Sounds like Hillary is fishing for a pardon by Obama.
IIRC, Neera Tanden’s WikiLeaked messages to John Podesta portrayed Hillary as a lying, incompetent, ruthless dullard with incomprehensibly bad judgement. I was fascinated that someone could hold such low opinions of everything a candidate said and did, yet remain a “loyalist”. There must be a lot of money in it. The woman has no integrity or shame (I guess she is a lot like Hillary after all).
This is good, although the better approach might be to drag out legal proceedings forever in order to drain their finances, then try her and convict her.
I missed Bark’s remark indicating he could not pardon someone not yet convicted. I did read that the act of a pardon was initially attached to a conviction, however, that case was widely panned when it was reported that Ford pardoned Nixon after Ford took office wherein Nixon resigned before the Senate could impeach him.
Definitely curious about these leaks. MSNBC is confirming that inner circle individuals are not happy with Conway’s days and days of remarks and Trump is “furious”. 3 or 4 confirmed she went completely ROGUE on her Romney crusade.
I’m concerned that it’s Conway who advised Trump against pursuing Clinton, and frankly that her actions on Romney, whom I despise, is nevertheless embarrassing to TRUMP.
Make the Clinton Foundation go bust somehow...
I just love surprises....and winning.
Also allowable in high stakes chess tournaments.
Head games might explain a LOT of what is going on during the interim, between election and inauguration.
Just like after WW2, the phase “just following orders” took on a new meaning, I hope after 2017, public employees understand they have a duty to the Constitution. It is time to drain the swamp.
