Syracuse, N.Y. -- It's been snowing for 38 straight hours in Syracuse, and there's more to come.
The National Weather Service station at Hancock International Airport has been recording snow since 3 a.m. Sunday, when rain switched over to light snow.
From then until 4 p.m. today, at least 18.9 inches of snow has fallen, and Syracuse could get another 4 inches.

Yup, I’m familiar with Solvay too.
The older I get the better the snowbird thing looks to me.
I know some places in FL on the Gulf Coast that I would prefer over this.
You have my sympathy.
When sis lived in PA they had a yuge snowstorm. BIL was only able to get home by hiring an amish sleigh with a beautiful dapple grey (5 kids waiting at the windows). He said he has never been so cold.
It’s 66 here in Houston at 7:00 AM CST...gotta pick some of my lemons this morning!
Wow! Stay safe.
It’s going to be about 70 today in Surprise, AZ.
Sheesh. Thank for posting. No snow at all in metro Detroit.
I feel for you. We didn’t get much and nothing stuck to the roads. Further south they got over a foot. We deserve a break.
Remember 2 years ago our area buried with 7 foot? Not fun.
Global Warming Conference happening there?
NY is being punished for voting for the Devil.
20 inches of snow? Is algore staying in Syracuse?
The Fort Drum area had over 200 inches of snow last year - people were using their 2nd story windows to crawl out of their houses! The town of Copenhagen, NY is the yearly record setter.
I’ve been up that way a few times during summer. Beautiful area. Never been there during the winter, though. I’ve heard many things about how crazy the lake effect snow can be.
God uses snow to teach us patience. . . and the utility of thermal underwear.
Went there with the 101st Abn for winter training Jan 82. I have never seen so much snow.
Going to be about 77 here in S.E. Florida today.
Oh yeah, and clear.
I had to look up your city, and find out how it got its name:
