I could see the argument being "Look, we don't want to overturn the election. Just split your votes proportionately to the popular vote in your state. That's fair, right? It reflects the will of your people." And it would mean Hillary gets half the EVs of a bunch of states she lost like 10 EVs from PA. But Trump gets EVs from states he lost too. Still, it would be dicey if this came to pass.
I agree, if they play this card it will end with blood in the streets.
