I am concerned also, but the final decision is a validation by a JOINT SESSION OF CONGRESS which will inspect the elector certifications and vote tally from the college and likely from the states. In a troublesome situation, the Joint Session could rule differently.

Remember electors aren't just any Joe Shmoe, they are typically the most loyal party members, lifelong party activists, retired politicians and the like. They aren't going to be easily scared...
