It could be a difficult farewell for Donald Trump when the time comes to take up residency at the White House.
Although he has hinted of commuting from New York City in his helicopter, the U.S. President-elect is likely to have to say goodbye to the $100million suite which sits at the top of Trump Tower.
The lavish building can be found on Fifth Avenue and is home to the Republican's business as well as his three-level, 66th floor penthouse.

yeah not a big fan either
Supposedly, at least according to Mark Simone, these are the public rooms of his apartment - where he has his meetings with the press. The other two floors may be furnished more modestly. Certainly, his office, despite the wonderful windows, is very ordinary.
OK, it does scream Nouveau Riche “parvenu” mentality.
That being said, I can still appreciate the aesthetics of it, although maybe in a less overwhelming manner.
I rather have gaudy then the degenerate trash “art” that we’ve seen with probable pedophile John Podesta.
Gold leafed toilet paper was too much for my taste.
Trump is being twitted for suggesting he won’t live in the White House most of the time. But the darling of the left, FDR, had homes in New York, Georgia, Maryland, and DC. And in those days communication was primitive compared to now.
It’s basically a 90-min helicopter ride for Trump. He could go back home each Friday afternoon, and return each Monday morning. I don’t see a problem.
I also think it’d force some Senators to fly up to NYC on weekends, if they wanted to talk things over with him.
He paid for all the gilding with his own money, at least, not by bleeding the public treasury.
Trump Tower sits on Fifth Avenue and is home to The Donald's business as well as his three-level, 66th floor penthouse.
It boasts breathtaking views of Central Park and over-the-top decor - starting with the gold and diamond front door that greets visitors.
Inside is an almost literally dazzling scene: floor to ceiling marble, ceilings painted with scenes from the classical Greek myths - and some surprisingly homely touches.
Trump’s a builder... When I look at his home I see superb craftsmanship and beautifully chosen materials. I’m not sure Trump has a ‘feminine’ side... that might be what writer of this piece is missing...
The guy is a multi billionaire and that is how he lives...when we get there, who knows how we would live?
Maybe we should listen to Trump a little more to see how he got to where he is today, and we can be there in our time...ya think???
Geese people, some people have it, some people don't see it, and some people can't stand it that someone else has it!!!
But he lives above shops and restaurant. Very ordinary man.
Yes, it’s gaudy.
But I'd think there's a couple three places in that 'palace' where he can go watch a b-ball game in his shorts with his hands down the waistband and drink a beerski..... :0)

That would trump all the bugging devices that are no doubt being embedded throughout the WHITE HOUSE living quarters and the OVAL OFFICE.
Did he say he would only do the commute once a week? I thought it was everyday.
It was reported that when he was campaigning on his plane, he usually opted to fly a long distance rather than stay locally.
There ain’t no accounting for taste.
” Too over the top for my tastes. P”
I expect our taste might change if we were billionaires.
Oh no! He’s RICH!!
Why didn’t they tell us this BEFORE the election??
Ivanka’s room in the video was also a very ordinary, typical girl’s bedroom. The areas where the family actually lives are probably quite plain if her room and his office are any indication.
