VANITY: Could Any Other Republican Have Beaten Hillary?
Self | November 12, 2016 | PJ-Comix

Okay the election is over and all is well but now I have to ask the question: Could any other Republican besides Donald Trump have beaten Hillary in the election?

Personally I don't think so. Jake Novak of CNBC wrote that Trump was essentially a third party candidate who was endorsed by the Republicans. Many Democrat voters in the Rust Belt which was key to victory voted not for a Republican but for Trump who himself repudiated by many/most of the Republican establishment.

When I look back at the other Republican candidates, I see no one who would have been capable of beating Hillary. Jeb Bush? Puh-lease. He would have spent a lot of his general election campaign apologizing plus he was a complete throwback to the past.

Ted Cruz. Okay I initially liked Cruz but I have come to see faults in him as a candidate. For one thing he had sort of a preachy tone which doesn't translate well to the campaign trail.

Chris Christie? Good on the campaign trail but Bridgegate would have doomed him.

John Kasich? A disgusting human being as we found out.

Marco Rubio? It would have been like a boy campaigning.

All I can say is we are extremely lucky that Donald Trump came on the scene. Only he was able to save us from a Hillary Regime which would have brought a liberal Supreme Court, eroded the Second Amendment, brought hordes of illegals and terrorist "refugees" across America, and, I believe, the basic end of our civilization.

Instead we dodged that horrible Hillary Bullet and the Democrats are now in total disarray. America has been saved and we have one man to thank for that...Donald Trump.

No. The DC UniParty had it all dialed in, with JEB as the designated sacrifice on the Hitlery Altar. Trump not only broke up the Establishment Three Card Monte, but kicked the table into the street and jammed all the card up their bungholes.

Very good. Very much agree. We can't reform the media -- though we might be able to create an alternate to Fox News through a highly souped up Breitbart.

My guess is there are some big plans in the works there. Steve Bannon is one of the sharpest media guys around. Combine his smarts with Jared, Ivanka's husband, and maybe something can be done.

And yes, election reform is another big priority. Getting control of the illegal alien problem is a great start. And we may need to curtail absentee ballots a bit -- or institute greater controls -- so we stop that corner of fraud.

I just meant that Ike would have been able to beat Hillary in the election.

I can remember the latter years of Eisenhower's Presidency but did not know anything about politics at the time. I remember the 1958 election as the first time I knew that the two main parties were the Republicans and the Democrats.

At one point my mother had a copy of Robert Welch's book which accused Eisenhower of being a conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy. My mother had Eisenhower's autograph but destroyed it.

And, for the millionth time: BULLSHIT!

Now, now boys... as Hillary would say, “At this point, What difference does it make?” Ted got himself booed off the stage at the Republican convention. Ted alienated so many people this time around that he has virtually no chance of ever becoming the Republican nominee.

Ted's only chance of ever being a presidential candidate in a future election is if Ted starts his very own Cubnadian Born Outside the USA Constitutional Freedom Party and nominates himself.

TED CRUZ IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO EVEN RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY

Mark Levin must suck as a lawyer if he can't even figure that out.

Here I was all these years thinking the guy was sane, he's not.

Cruz is pathetic robotic calculated facade and immensely distasteful lacking Trumps gravitas.

No. The last several times we have put up wussy losers. The reason so many of us supported Trump early on and all the way through is we were tired of the GOP wimps.

No....simply go back to when Cruz was running for the Senate seat from Texas, appeared on a local radio show down there, and answered a caller who asked him what constitutes a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. He answered that query properly according to the Constitution. :-)

Or, you can always go look up what the government tells those who are studying for the test they have to take and pass, in order to become a Naturalized Citizen of this nation.

Why not do both? :-)

Any other candidate, would have lost... PERIOD.

Without Trump tossing overboard Globalist concepts of Free Trade, and open borders, he would have never taken the upper midwest, Sure another R might have got OH, Even IA... Possibly even flipped FL and NH and held NC.. but guess what? That wasn’t going to be enough and the left knew it!

THey knew they could give up huge ground and still win... and not one of them could remotely contemplate losing any one of PA, WI and MI... let alone all 3...

And no other R candidate was going to win any of those 3... Trump, saw the play from day one, and methodically worked it... and in the end, he not only got one, but got all 3... and the left never ever saw it coming. No other R would have likely seen the play Trump made, or if they did would have been allowed ot make it, because every last damned one of the rest was financed by people who WANTED MORE FREE TRADE, MORE OPEN BORDERS and had written off these working class voters in these states as just collateral damage to their larger vision... and that was true of both sides of the aisle.

Trump, had the vision, and guts to make the play he did, and despite the fact it was blatant what he was trying to do from day one, the left never ever took him serious or even bother to try to defend this territory in any real meaningful way.. they never made a play for the working class voter in pain being devoured by globalist policies, they didn’t even care.. they thought, I got the hispanics, I got the blacks, I got the liberal guilt ridden whites... I don’t need the working man....

Think about that... the Democratic Party, literally decided it DIDN’T NEED THE WORKING MAN TO WIN!!! They consciously decided to not even try to get their vote because they didn’t think they needed it.......

Can any of you above the age of 30 even contemplate any democrat ever declaring the working man is dead to us? We don’t need them?

Trump made the play and Hillary and the left, just laughed thinking he was just a desperate fool
