Never killed a Beaver, but there was this one time in Daytona I pounded one like a screen door in a hurricane.

Knew some guys that adored beavers but none that ever killed one.

What they needed was a star/celebrity. He would have grabbed the beaver with the beaver’s permission. CNN would then have given the grabbed beaver 24/7 coverage for at least a week.

Doesn’t matter how adorable a beaver is, somewhere some guy is sick of it.

Look on youtube. Beaver can be extremely dangerous to humans, no joke. An angry beaver is not to be messed with.
Now a .22 will turn angry beaver into pelt & meat for the pot, but they aren’t house pets.

Johnie Lad, Cock Up Your Beaver
When first my brave Johnie lad came to this town,
He had a blue bonnet that wanted the crown;
But now he has gotten a hat and a feather,
Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!
Cock up your beaver, and cock it fu’ sprush,
We’ll over the border, and gie them a brush;
There’s somebody there we’ll teach better behaviour,
Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!
