O'Reilly Poll

Posted on 10/21/2016 12:19:18 PM PDT by trackman

I don't know if it's been posted here yet, but O'Reilly conducted his own poll by having graduate students contact 250 people from both parties in every state (25,000 people). The result was shocking. 86% Trump and 14% Hillary. I am not attesting to the validity of the poll, but even if you half Trump's numbers and double hers, he still wins the popular vote by a wide margin.

Keep in mind that there are more red states than blue, and Democrats in Red states tend to be more conservative than their blue-state liberals. This would skew the results some because the electoral college results give greater emphasis to the more population-dense blue states. Still, if this poll is legit, Hillary doesn't stand a chance.

I’m not surprised. The poll construction would mirror those maps of prior elections which show seas of red and islands of blue. But, the islands of blue have many, many more people. That biases O’Reilly’s results.

Now. If they actually did that, and I have no reason to doubt it, and they came up with those results like they said. I would be....

Popular vote means nothing.

Correct, but it is indicative and always has been. I do not believe anyone has ever won the popular vote by more than 3% vote has ever lost the electoral college.

Invalid poll because Democrats, women, and college educated voters were not oversampled by 20%.

Correct. I still think Trump will be the next President. It is our only chance. Trump for President.

Let’s say 90% of this country vote Trump.

And the beast steals it. Who’s gonna do anything?

Heck the spineless Rs who control congress waived their rights to contest elections didn’t they?

I will ask my daughter who is a meteorology major if she can order up some terrible weather for the nation’s urban centers on November 8th.

What happens when islands become so overpopulated that the only way to build is up and a major earthquake hits followed by a tsunami? Give me a break, it’s my one dramatic moment a year.

Popular vote means nothing.

I believe there is a close mathematical correlation between the popular and the EC vote.

Somebody else did a private poll that was similar a month or so ago and got similar results. Problem is that the same number of polled voters in each states gives Wyoming the same weight as California. You could start with this data as raw data and then work backward weighting each state’s result factored by Electoral Votes and then you would have something.

There is no way Hillary will only get 14% of any vote. Just like no candidate will get 86% of any vote.

Either party could put up anyone and they will get at least 30% of the vote no matter what...

Hillary has a functional max of the low 40s... Nothing she says or does will get her over that... Her only shot at a win is to repress trump voters to keep their turnout down below her max...

And frankly I just don’t see it happening

Nothing shocking about that, but highly hopeful and promising.

Yeah, if only South Dakota had the same number of electoral votes as California.

Not if they took that into account state by state and averaged the numbers that we see: T86, H14.
