I guess I’m just so used to Dem dirty tricks I see them around every corner.
The stakes this election have never been higher. I fear for my children’s’ future.
The difference now is the dirty tricks are being exposed on the Internet, by individuals mailing links to their lists, by a very few brave folks on TV and radio. In the USSR it was known as samizdat.
Memes go viral now because people can bypass the media. Hopefully, you can raise your kids to fight back, to carve out life niches that are relatively immune to the toxic groupthink in society.
My husband and I are elderly. We succumbed to progressive groupthink until around 1980 and have voted against the progs for 35 years or so. We experienced the ostracism, the politics of personal destruction and we survived because we carved out creative self-employment for ourselves. zer0’s economy made us have to spend our retirement savings plus continue working. We are exposed to the horrid progs and their dead brains daily. Even if Trump wins, they will continue being poisonous toward anyone who disagrees with them. In fact, they will triple down. Prepare your kids for that, either way.
Everyone is scared. Courage is continuing on in spite of fear. The one tactic that wins is never giving up. If they never quit and we never fold, eventually it will come down to CWII and we can have the catharsis we need. Nothing brought it home to the good Germans like the Allies forcing them to rebuild the bombed-out cities with their bare hands. At some point, we must make the supporters of tyranny experience its effects first hand.
There is no magic way out of this mess. After a while, fear is replaced with nothing left to lose.
