I truly believe that our present nihilism, disfunction and indeed apathy have roots in one thing - our corrupted monetary system.

We have a completely fiat, paper money system, managed by a Progressive-era, soviet style, politicized entity called the Federal Reserve.

The conditions have fallen such that for this brief period, America, as the worlds dominant power, can print all the money, and create all the debt it needs to paper over every perceived problem and social ill, and to pay off every organized group or entity, as well as keep afloat scores of crony-capitalist big businesses.

This means social-engineers and progressive can continue to fund their social engineering schemes - until one day everything collapses.

That is when the nihilism will end.
