Portsmouth Police are sending a warning about clowns chasing people in their city.

A trend that began in Greenville, South Carolina in August of this year has reached Portsmouth, Ohio.

Last night the Portsmouth Police received a report of a person dressed as a clown in the area of the bridge, standing holding an axe and staring at people passing by.

Police also received a report of a clown knocking on the door of a residence on Robinson Avenue.

Actually, if such an idiot confronted John Q Citizen in a civilized place like Branson, MO, and John pulled his legally carried Sig Sauer P226 and emptied a 15 round mag into the clown, do we actually think a jury would convict?

It's more than a beating these fools should fear. In this climate I'll be surprised if they don't get shot.

I never think of clowns as “funny”. I think of them as “scary”.

Portsmouth (pronounced porch-muff) is not near the White House but it is the meth capital of Ohio.
